Spoilers Star Trek: Picard 1x04 - "Absolute Candor"

Three episodes in, and Picard and the gang have finally rocketed off into space for what will hopefully be some good adventure. But first, it's off to meet the newest member of the crew, Elnor, a young Romulan from Picard's past who's also trained in sword combat. Will he add an interesting flavor to Trek? We'll soon find out.

Anyway, so far, so good. I think that this is the kind of show that a lot of people predicted that we'd get when it was first announced. All we need now is for Picard to put his interest in archeology to good use.

What's brewing so far? A number of you predicted early on that Dr. Jurati is up to no good and the last episode suggested just that. So far it looks like she's either being manipulated or is working as a spy. Any other possibilities? Time or astute viewing will tell.

I gave it a 12. I have the ability to vote for poll options beyond the poll.

 

Considering all other episodes have been a consistent 6/7, I'm betting the trend continues.

 

Can I make a future prediction and say Bernd at EAS will give it a 3?

Let’s hope the story gets going now. 3 episodes was enough to set it up.

 

That site lost its way when its focus was sidetracked from tech and design and ventured into episode and movie reviews.

I think they should have titled this episode: "Meet The Kwisatz Haderach"

That's the trick. The first three were a fairly entertaining setup. Can they keep it going now that we are getting into the meat and potatoes of the story?

 

Nah, the Orions figured out how to imitate it decades ago.

Not on earth; everything is free of charge on earth because there is no money any longer. Everyone is happy and enlightened, no one ever curses and Picard is the special ambassador to Romulus...

 

"Keep it going"?? Dear god, I hope it gets better now that the boring, protracted prologue is over.

 

It really doesn't feel like much of anything has happened yet. That needs to change.
