First trailer dropped for the new Netflix comedy "Space Force" starring Steve Carrell, the show about an inept general put in charge of the new Space Force.

Looks super funny. It looks like a great military/space spoof.

The show will drop on Netflix on May 29. I am really looking forward to it.

Looks to be fine - looking both up and down from the 'top'.

I've been looking forward for this one for awhile now. Definitely looks great and it has a killer cast! Plus, it was created by Greg Daniels (along with Carell).

It looks like more of the same Carrell brand of comedy, playing the person horribly out of his league that we are supposed to cheer for. It really has only worked when he has good actors around him. Given the cast he has here, I am cautiously optimistic because he cannot carry the series on his own.

Anything with Carrell in it has a pre-approved stamp on it. I will definitely check this out when it is released as it looks really funny.

Yup. Pretty much seems to be General Michael Scott.

Second trailer came out a couple days ago.

I hope there are alternate ways to see this. Do Netflix shows get rebroadcast anywhere?

Nope. Just get your free week and watch it. Sometimes they come out on disc.

Is this one dropping all at once?

Every Netflix show that isn't a talk show drops all at once. So yes.

Also stars the late Fred Willard as Carrell's father. Anything with Carrell AND Fred Willard gets an automatic 'YES' from me.

This looks really... not good. I liked The Office when it was reasonably believable, that Michael Scott had somehow reached a relatively minor level of authority and it was increasingly obvious he was incompetent. It was funny to see his struggles with real-world-like bosses and their attempts to deal with his ineptness, and to see the subordinates stuck with him when they knew his job could have been done so much better. The way the show ended up, in some kind of fantasy world where each corporate boss ended up more eccentric and bizarre than the last, no longer contrasting with Michael's incompetence, was just a semi-funny, setup-punchline, look-at-these-wacky-weirdos workplace sitcom. Not the astute satire of the conventions and hypocrisy of workplace authority and conformity that the original had been, and the US version was for a time.

Some great performers in this, but buy the premise that Michael Scott made it to the level of four-star general? Nah, pass.

This could be good, but the trailers come across extremely flat.

There are ideas here that could've been done more with, but so far this show is not good. It's not awful either, it's just sort of there.

Contrary to seemingly most critics, I'm loving it (through the first three episodes).

Honestly, the most unrealistic part of the whole show so far is Patrick Warburton's haircut. No self-respecting Marine's hair would be that long, let alone a four-star general.

Through three episodes, the flat earth representative was probably the funniest part.
