As Star Trek fans I think we all have one or more of those favorite moments in our beloved franchise.

It might be something more obvious — like Kirk yelling Khan, Riker giving the order to fire on his own Captain or Benny Russell having his “It's real!” breakdown — or something more obscure — like a depressed Janeway sitting in her darkened quarters, Reed and Mayweather building a snowman on a comet or Stamets and Culber brushing their teeth on Discovery. Your favorite moment can be happy or sad, profound or light, big or small and anything in-between.

So this month's challenge is to illustrate or reinterpret your personal single most favorite moment in all of Star Trek. Maybe you want to create a collage of TrekCore screencaps or maybe you draw something involving your favorite piece of Trek dialog. Almost anything is possible.

I'm looking forward to learn about your favorite moments. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

    Great theme!

I have something in mind, but with a twist, and I'm wondering if it would be okay...it plays right into another project I'm working on (not the bridge...well, not THAT bridge).

Would it be okay if I did my favorite "Um...what?" moment? It has to do with Admiral Kirk, Chief Engineer Scott, and "Midshipman First Class Peter Preston, engineer's mate, *sir*!" (No, not that moment)

Oh drat, I must have missed this when you posted it originally. Sorry for that. As for you question, yeah sure, I would love to see your idea realized.

I say go for it! :techman: ;)

Finally started work on my entry this last weekend. Hope I can finish it in time. What's with the rest of you guys? Any takers? :)

I had hoped to do something a little more elaborate, but time got away from me this month.

    Anyway, here's my entry:

My original idea was going to incorporate the silhouettes with a thought bubble above containing O'brien and Bashir performing a dance number, Fred Astaire style. :sigh:

Hope im not too late for this one.
I drew this a while ago but does represent one of my favourite scenes and episodes. Means a bit more when you watch WOK and wish that Khan and Kirk could have faced each other in person in that film, that this was the only time they drew fists.

Very nice! “Explorers” for some reason always has a special place in my heart. It just brings me back to when I was twelve or whatever and loving DS9. It was only years later when I started to really appreciate and get that O'Brien/Bashir drinking scene. Love your rendition of it. Especially the oval Terok Nor style window.

Loving your entry as well, @DeMilburn! Your comic style is just awesome. And for the longest time “Space Seed” was actually my favorite TOS episode. Ricardo Montalban was such a joy to watch.

You say you drew this a while ago. Did you create the bulk of it this month, though? I ask because it is generally expected that the entries in these contests are created in their respective months. I don't want to be super-strict on this – seeing as we are already running somewhat low on participation anyway and I would love to include your entry – but I think it's only fair to ask. :) Personally, I would be fine to include the entry either way, if no-one objects.

As for my own entry: I'm almost finished, but need a little more time, so I would like to extend the submission phase for one or two days, if it's okay with everyone. I think I will probably post the voting thread on Saturday.

    Thanks.

Alas, this has not been one of my favorite months ever. Long story.

    Good luck, everyone!

Thanks, @Michael. I always appreciated those types of small character moments the DS9 writers managed to squeeze into the episodes. But I especially enjoyed the Bashir/O'brien ones. :D

Sorry for taking so long, guys. Has been a pretty busy weekend. Here's the voting thread.

@DeMilburn, thanks for the honesty! I love your “Space Seed” piece and since I much prefer a voting with three options instead of just two I just went ahead and included it as well. As I said, I'm okay with not being too rigorous on these contests. Let's see who wins this. :)

Love that layered saucer--an artifact yes--but it makes the E look even bigger
