I do really like this, i actually think the JJprise (which i've .really. warmed to) could do with a simple retexure based on this lovely model.
Hey, thanks, steven87gill. Been a while, new piece: Heart of the Sunrise Title is from one of my favorite YES songs. (click on thumb to enlarge) deg It's only a model. - Patsy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Corbomite Maneuver Heya Gang! Wow, over a year and a quarter since I created a new TOS.5 piece... My take on the classic Kirk's bluff poker episode of TOS. Enjoy! peace & bananas | deg (click on thumbs to enlarge)
Please pardon me while I squee. ... SQUEEEEEE! ... Thank you, Deg -- it's beautiful. You've obviously improved upon the Remastered version, too! What does the little Fesarius look like?
Very interesting approach to the Fersarius. With the actual filming miniature, simple spheroids were used (supposedly, ping pong balls). In the "remastered", the spheroids became geodesic domes. Deg, too has opted for faceted domes, but he employs a series of outer flanges that instantly eliminates any confusion between his images and those in the "remastered" episode. In the thumbnail, they remind me of a pile of "button cell" batteries like the type found in miniature hearing aids. Sincerely, Bill
I know this is a bit "necro", but OMG...what a magnificent render!!! They should have hired you do to the FX for the Abrams films!
Thanks, guys, glad you enjoy me work! Makes it all the more better to create when others enjoy it as much as I do, too. You may want to pick up the 2013 Star Trek: Ship Of The Line calendar next year then, Ian, as this alt version of “... a tall ship ...” will be my contribution for that year. Thanks again, guys! deg
