He played D'amato, who was killed by 2D computer-generated Losira in "That Which Survives".

Ah. Thank you. Such explanations also work.

I have no idea how to post pictures, and if you are such a fan of the show you'll know already whom I am talking about! :techman:

Now wouldn't that beat all if it turns out the Vasquez Rocks are, in reality, the fossilized remains of an ancient spaceship which crashed into Earth eons ago?

Wouldn't the spaceship have to be made out of bone, then? That's icky.

I use it as an opportunity to do a little research; I learn more doing a quick lookup on the web and usually learn a little more than just the character's identity such as their age, if they are dead, what else they starred in, etc. Happy New Year to my good, down under, mate!

Posting pictures is easy -- just click the Image button, and follow the simple instructions.

The rest ("If you're a Real Fan, you'll already know what I mean, so I feel no obligation to explain myself") is just gatekeeping. Please help other fans by filling in the blank, instead of being a gatekeeper. :)

Hmm...organic spaceships... Maybe that's why its distress signal is a telepathic mandate to humans to film it from as many angles as possible in order to precisely locate it?

I don't post pictures where I don't have the means to take screencaps for one reason or another. Or where I don't feel it's worth the bother.

What is an image button? Plus I don't feel the need to add a photo (even if I could) unless I'm trying to explain something very particular! :techman:

You'd also need to have some personal web location to post the picture, since you're not allowed to hotlink from someone else's website. That's why I upload screen grabs to my GoDaddy temp folder and link from there.

I just upload to https://imgbb.com (free image site) and copy its URL address and paste into the image box.

MeTV's playing a 1965 episode of Gunsmoke with a Trek guest actor who almost was...John Drew Barrymore, who caught my attention because he's sporting what I'd identify as a very '70s look--big, feathered hair and a full, scruffy beard.

ETA: Matt Dillon just shot his ass.

John Hoyt's turn in the wheelchair When Worlds Collide.

He was not the kindly ship's Doctor in this film, but the pragmatic underwriter of an evacuation plan to preserve a select few people from perishing...himself included. He had all the fire of Old Man Potter from It's a Wonderful Life, and the brimstone of 007 from Dr. No. It's a wonder he didn't bitch-slap Captain Pike when he was brooding in his cabin...

All these years and viewings and I never realized that was him in the wheelchair. D'OH!
