I just decided - against my better judgment - to create a Global Thread about football = soccer. Why just stick to things that happen in a certain season or just in Europe? There is currently Copa America. European Qualifiers are under way. U 21 European Championships. FIFA Ladies World Championship. Africa Cup etc..... Enjoy!
The German women lost against Sweden during the Women's World Cup in France. Next on my to-do list: Copa America, Uruguay vs. Peru via liveticker.
Apparently one of the Swedes has been preparing by listening to music of the nation to be played next. Neil Young and Rammstein have served her well. I approve !
Not to mention the teacup gesture - the US women were great at mocking their opponents..... They just won the title - a very unlikeable team. And Messi at the Copa America? For Messi everything is corruption......
You know the only half reasonable argument that’s been made to not have equal pay between men and women is men’s sports makes more revenue. Weeelllll women’s soccer is making more revenue in the US. That kinda happens when your women’s team is winning World Cups and your men’s team is on the bubble to even qualify.
The Premier League looks like another year of Man City and Liverpool dominating teams and waiting for the other to slip up in the race. It'd be nice for Liverpool to get it done but the depth Man City have at their disposal is truly formidable.
So where is Mauricio Pochettino going to land? Munich? Manchester? And what difference will the Special One make with Spurs?
Liverpool fan. I should be feeling good, happy, with the season so far. I'm always poised for the bubble to burst. There have been so many false dawns.
