Okay, I'll give. After all I gotta work with what I've got. Suzie Plakson as Dr. Selar from TNG's 2nd season's "The Schizoid Man" and, of course, our ever favourite Dr. Noel. And I just thought I'd use a gold uniform instead of the red or blue we see so often. I also sized the shuttlecraft along the more believeable size FourMadMen has worked out with his terrific cgi model and plans.

Although this was a rush job I gotta say that it would have been cool to see TOS do something like this. This, of course, gives me another idea. Stay tuned... :D

Not bad at all! I can see Selar as a TOS Vulcan somehow, although it would have helped if she'd had longer hair...

True. I'm also not fond of how often they simply tried to emulate Spock's hairstayle with all subsequent Vulcans and Romulans in TNG onward--it's very hit and miss. Candidly I think one of the best pst TOS Vulcan makeup jobs I've seen was DS9's T'Lera (I think that was her name) in the two-parter "The Maqis"--that was a decent make-up job. Another good one was TNG's Lt. Taurik in "Lower Decks." I think making a convincing Vulcan walks a very fine line. Look at the hell they went through to get Nimoy's ears just right in size and shape. I also think a Vulcan look seems to work best (on women anyway) with an ever so slight oriental or exotic look--something like Arlene Martel's T'Pring in "Amok Time."

^ And TOS didn't always get it right either. Look at the Centurion in "Balance of Terror". Or Kirk's Romulan make-up, although I guess that was meant to look silly.

Egad!--the Romulan look just didn't suit Shatner. But then the Centurion Kirk kicked out looked like a rush job as well. To get a convincing Vulcan or Romulan requires (I think) a balancing of having an actor/actress with just the right look, a well done make-up job and finally a convincing performance from the actor or actress.

She might need to be just a little more blue, W9. She looks like she might be infected with the Dramia II Auroral Plague. Just a little pale there.

Other than that...great ideas these two pics.

A rare find. The Enterprise maneuvers near a terrestrial satellite orbiting an immense gas giant...

I know. For the lighing to be better the ship should be facing the other way, but this conveyed the idea of the ship on approach to the terrestrial moon. Hey, it's TOS--it's the thought that counts. :D

Encountering a new race from that terrestrial satellite...

I recently watched The Alternative Factor again and I knew I just had to use that shot:

Erm...KLINGON Bird-of-Prey? That there is a Romulan ship, my friend.
Sadly, The Alternative Factor is one of the TOS episodes I HAVEN'T seen. Do they disable a Klingon ship in it? If so, is it refered to as a BOP?

It's a retcon ;) After all, the Romulans did obtain Klingon designs, it seems logical the Klingons obtained their Bird-of-Prey design, and it doesn't seem too unlikely that they'd give it a nice coat of green paint.

The (IMHO magnificent shot) of the Enterprise firing phasers is from The Alternative Factor.

The Romulan Bird-of-Prey was taken from Balance of Terror. I hope that answers your questions :)

No they don't disable a Klingon ship in "The Alternative Factor" episode. It is the episode where Lazarus from our universe is trying to kill his duplicate from an anti-matter universe. I believe the original picture you see was of the Enterprise firing on Lazarus'es ship on a planet's surface. Here is a link to "The Alternative Factor".
