That was probably my favourite episode of the season so far.

Skyler Austin looked quite hot doing his solo. I think this may have been the first time he felt like old Greg, being such a dick about everything. :D

It was sad to see Rebecca spiral again, even though it's at those times when she's at her most vulnerable, if also memorable and funny. I don't think it's s coincidence we were back up to three songs this week knowing the trouble she was having.

The second song was very funny - she gets drunk and snorts co-codamol? :wtf:  And then on her to way to her big night out she stops to steal a taco and talk about Lilo and Stitch!

The Darkness was a beautiful, more emotional song, whilst also being funny in parts.

Paula having a heart attack also nearly did me in. I loved how her and Rebecca's stories were thematically linked anyway, but then at the end, they just beautifully joined up. Rebecca telling Paula to take better care of herself obviously inspired her to do the same at the end.

My ball and chain, and I were arguing about whether Paula was pregnant or menopausal. Once the water cooler talk (on the show) diagnosed menopause, then it was clear that it wasn't either, because shows like this thrive on misdirection.

Female heart attacks present different from male heart attacks, and television has barely done much to educate us on how understated and enduring a woman's heart attack is until things become terrible.

(There was a "a very special" episode of Grey's Anatomy where one of the series leads spent most of the episode slowly having a heart attack, a year ago.)

Apparently after the final episode (Friday 5th April), they're showing a concert of various members of the cast will be singing songs from the show! I hope Netflix are able to screen that in the UK.

I’m very happy Paula is okay! That was scary. Kudos to Nathaniel and Josh for recognizing Rebecca’s spiraling and not giving in to her. I’m happy she’s finally taking care of herself.

Ethically, the opposite happened on Friends, near the end.

Drunk Rachel asked sober Ross to boink her and he said no because it seemed wrong and disrespectful, to go there while she was out of it.

The next morning Rachel was furious, that he didn't know that Drunk Rachel has the right to demand and get as much sex as sober Rachel can wake up to.

    "Sigh"

I really liked the beginning song

It really seems like Rebecca is going to be single at the series end, and that’s a good thing.

Josh referenced Greg’s drinking song. :)

Yeah I loved that little callback!

The opening song was so good I stopped and played it again before I carried on. It was so funny and full of life. The End of the Movie reprise gave me chills when she started singing that, though I miss Josh Grooooooooooobaaaaaaaaaaan.

The kung fu song was also funny but probably the least favourite this week. And yes, three songs again.

It was a good episode. It didn't quite haunt me for the day like last week's emotional rollercoaster, but there were a lot of great moments. I liked Rebecca finally realising her dreams of theatre. I wonder if the show will go full meta and have her writing the Crazy Ex Girlfriend story as a way to deal and move on with her Darkness? I'm probably getting a bit carried away there.

I’m surprised it took her so long to realize that musical theatre was her thing. She was in musical theatre camp as a teenager and there was a flashback to her university days when she wanted to change her major to theatre from law.

I also think it’s weird that Paula didn’t get caught and in trouble for leaving the hospital.

Yeah she has always loved musical theatre. Though the odd times when we've caught her singing outside of her bubble, she's always been terrible. :D

In the first episode of this season, we saw her very involved in trying to do the whole Chicago thing. At first I was thinking she was going to make a career out of visiting prisoners to put on shows with. Then she started giving them free legal aid instead.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens if she really tries to make a go of it. Rebecca is a terrible singer.

She'll end up running a theatre camp, maybe even the same one she met Josh at.

Not too long I guess. Netflix confused me and convinced me it was already back, but instead I've been rewatching Game of Thrones. Also I'm halfway The Umbrella Academy, which has been quite good.

    It's back!

Skyler's singing the What'll It Be? reprise was pretty good. No Santiano Fontano, but it definitely gave me chills when I first heard it.

So we finally get to see Rebecca's dream in action. I felt so sorry for her being stuck with the crappy old song, but she rewrote it! Scarf-lady hated it, but then Nathaniel went and sung it! And the audience laughed, however briefly. Kismet! So she probably won't be singing much, but maybe the writing of songs may come into it?

Nathaniel and Rebecca almost kissing, with Josh watching. Valencia giving an ultimatum about marriage. Whilst we have to see the fallout of this until next week, Paula and Darryl were breaking my heart regarding her job offers. Paula has come so far and wanted to move on, but Darryl was taking it too personally. The little instrumental reprise of You're My Best Friend (and I know I'm Not Yours) was lovely.

I'm very happy that Spotify has been updated with more songs from the season.

I really liked the added instrumental of “You’re My Best Friend” between Paula and Darryl. Also when Rebecca enters the theatre for the first time, “West Covina” is playing.

I hope Valencia and Beth don’t break up. I like them together, even though we don’t see enough of them together.

It was so weird seeing Chris (the kid from seasons 1 and 2) again. I completely forgot about him.

He sounded great. I was really surprised. Yeah not Santino great but great nonetheless.
"scarf-lady was Cheri Oteri who used to be on SNL, if I'm not mistaken. I thought she was perfect as the overbearing, obnoxious, snobby, "theatah" director. Every time she whipped that scar around I laughed.
Beth reminds me of Kate McKinnon. Is the only reason Valencia wants to get married is so she can plan her wedding? That appeared to be the only reason from what I saw unless I missed something.
Took me the longest time to figure out who he was. but that was a nice little touch bringing him back.

The whole thing with Paula and Darryl is slightly depressing. I just assumed that once she passed the bar she'd become one of Darryl's associates. But, it is much more realistic to see her out there looking.

Rachel keeps teasing us with the 3 amigos. She seems to be taking turns showing how they've all evolved into to worthwhile and substantial people worthy of love. Still think she ends up choosing singlehood.

Valencia said to Beth that she feels left out because all of her friends are getting married. When in reality, it’s just been Heather and Hector who have married.

I wouldn’t doubt the fact that she is a wedding planner, is a big reason why she wants to get married.

Math of Love Quadrangle had me howling with laughter. :D  The original Love Triangle song is one of my favourites so I just about died with the callback. Though it does make me think of nuBSG's love quadrangle of doooooooom... but in a better way.

Also, JAP Battle was another unexpected reprise, and again was hilarious. As was the whole slow motion song. I could watch Heather and her cheetoes for days.

The whole episode was very funny. Rebecca's bitchy employee is kind of my hero.

Audra was Rebecca’s former co-worker from her old law firm in New York. The slow motion song was great!

I’m glad Valencia and Beth worked it out. Valencia’s reaction to finding out that she can propose (bit of an eye roll moment) was priceless!

The guys finding out about the columns was so funny.

I really liked seeing Audra again, it was a sign that the show is coming full circle. Another one is all of the reprises this season. :techman:

I really want to see Trent one last time, that may be wishful thinking though.
