The production is starting on the new season, and as a result we've got the first leaked photo of Dinah's new Black Canary costume.

Not a bad costume. It has more design unity with the other Team Arrow costumes than Laurel's BC costume did, which makes sense, because Laurel started out on her own before joining the team.

Is that guy on the right creating lens flares by shining a flashlight into the camera? I've read that's how they do it, but it's weird to see it.

That's actually what I don't like about it. Not that it's bad, it looks alright, but I was hoping for something more unique and with a bit more flair. Cisco is apparently creatively spent when it comes to costumes , they should bring Winn over for the next crossover to bring some fresh fashion ideas. ;)

Oh well, I guess she can accessorize with some designer brass knuckles, maybe a fancy belt... :D

I guess we know she survived the Island blast. I'm hoping the very first scene for Season 6 would be the Island explosion from her and the others' point of view. I wonder if it was like a Forrest Gump thing and they were surrounded by the blast but still was able to run away from it somehow.

Which would be impossible with realistic explosions, since most of their destructive force is in the invisible pressure waves that fly outward from the blast at the speed of sound, rather than in the visible fireball. So being surrounded by explosions would almost certainly kill you from the overpressure shock, not to mention whatever shrapnel was flying. (The Mythbusters tested whether the shock waves from two explosions on either side of you would cancel each other out, but they actually reinforced each other and did even more damage.) But then, since when have fictional explosions worked anything like reality?

I figure they probably managed to make it to the ARGUS bunker in time.

Or they'll cop out by saying Barry, Wally, Jay and Jessie came to their rescue...

All they need to do is show it happened before or after he was in the speed force with a line... :vulcan:

Heck, Wally could do all by himself. But I doubt that's what they have in mind.

They'd probably have them getting the plane fixed and taking off just in time.

Only if Cisco diagrams it on his board.

Regarding the new Black Canary's costume...I am just disappointed that they aren't using a blonde wig... it would do some wonders to throw people off of her real identity . That and Oliver using a fake beard as a mask....it would work!

According to casting call rumours, the villain for the season will be
    Richard Dragon/Ricardo Diaz.

So, Arrow is stealing The Flash's gimmick of turning heroes into villains for absolutely no reason?

I'm glad that Arrow proved itself to be completely unworthy of even a second of my time after that Adrian Chase bullshit that ruined season 5. Actually, knowing Arrow, that person will probably end up being revealed as the Arrowverse version of Mad Hatter or Roxy Rocket just to trick people into thinking they're someone else. Yeah the character casted is a very specific character, but that didn't stop Arrow last season. Because why do something cool that follows the comics when you can write a show like M Night Shyamalan at his worse

The casting notice says "7/13 FRACTIONAL SERIES REGULAR," but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be the main villain, just a major recurring character.
The comics character is a thief who becomes a hero, so maybe the show's version will start out as a bad guy but be redeemed.

It looks better when you can see the details up close.
Still would have preferred something less leathery* more clothy for a change...

*(except the leather jacket of course ;))
