    Sorry, just noticed your reply. We cope by accepting that snow is normal after September 1. It doesn't usually stay until after Halloween. BTW, it's snowing now, and the snowpile from earlier this month hadn't had time to fully melt yet.

    I'm not suggesting Earth leave orbit and go somewhere else. It's just that after 53 times around the Sun, it would be nice to try some other part of the universe. Just for a temporary change of scenery...
