Why would the fingers need to exactly fit the diagram? It could just be a visual cue to place your fingers anywhere on the screen.
Donny, will it be possible for you do transition shots from TFF to TUC? I think that would be a really cool way to show off the set evolution.

They shook the Ent-B bridge in Generations.
It's not just CRTS, the main viewscreen was rear projection at least some of the time. That has a particular look as well.
