Season 2 was not perfect but in hindsight t was more of what I have come to expect in Star Trek. You could see Michael Piller's stamp on things.
Seska was a great villain. Smart and cunning.
Focus on the ensemble. Less romance. Longer arcs
DS9 was the middle child. But it took elements from TOS and TNG and built on them and really developed into this wonderfully epic saga.
I thought Eddington had just the right amount of focus. He served his purpose in the story well.
More focus on the Dominion War. There were too many stretches where it fell to the sidelines.
