      Also, how much world-building did you do before starting to write, or did you just dive in? Thanks in advance for your time! Still loving the stories.. I think one of the best parts is that I could easily see this on TV.

        I just dove right in. I don't necessarily have a plan when it comes to the episodes. However, for the series, I have five seasons planned in all with a final story that could be attributed to a major motion picture movie... if all of this ever made it to television and the movies. LOL

        I guess family would be a word I would put to this series. Originally, when I started it, I dedicated it to my dad, who passed away near the end of January. Writing this series helped me cope with all of it and I started adding little tidbits in the stories like the recent two-parter when I added Snohomish. An aunt of mine used to live there and Snohomish has a river in my home state so I said, why not?

        All I guess I can say is practice makes perfect. I've been writing since I was in high school and I feel like with each story, I get better at my craft. I hope this helps with your own writing. I like your stories by the way. :)

      Latest entry was most excellent! I'm glad to see Valerie is still around, though I have to admit to being curious if you considered keeping her dead. Might make for a good "alternate timeline" story. Thanks for the Fortitude stories by the by, they're really good and a high point of my day when a new one comes out.
