Sexiest Trek outfits.... Picture Heavy!

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if they have to stop filming for a few minutes if you've got naked men and naked women in a scene together.

It would be like being in a nudist camp for the first time without a towel to hold in front of yourself.

I saw 3 road companies of the stage musical Hair during the 70s, and always wondered how the guys avoided getting-- uh, going up on their lines. One performance, we went with wife's brother and sister-in-law, and s-i-l had to sit separate from us because of a reservation problem, and they put her down in the front rows center. There was a number where a naked guy is throwing himself against a sheet or fishing net, and she could see everything. She saw it all.

 

I don't know that film sets are the most conducive environment for the random erection, generally speaking.

 

Male actors always seem to deny that it ever happens.

Of course, they've got 30 or 40 guys on the stage crew watching the whole thing, so it probably is inhibiting.

 

Note: I also like Uhura's off-duty outfit in Star Trek III, but I'm having trouble finding it.

 

I find it rather silly that people are that afraid of an aroused naked man. It's just as natural as a naked woman. That's what a man's body is like, that's how it works.
It's just sexism that has more female nudity than male nudity.

 

I never found Yar sexy under any circumstances.

I'm liking me some Zoe Saldana Uhura.

I never found Nichelle Nichols Uhura all that sexy, but I definitely do in that outfit. Yum.

 

Nichols was downright stunning in her Mirror Universe outfit. Though I thought she looked stunning through much of TOS.

 

Well, there could be possible continuity problems when doing several different takes of a scene. Paramount might have to start hiring fluffers if it went mainstream.

I don't get this sentence. Men (traditionally) react more to erotic stimuli so.. censors keep this in mind and avoid it? Because we are talking about how they don't, as far as het men and naked women goes.

 

I am reminded of an argument I had with a male (former) friend about nudity in film. He swore up and down male full frontal would never be permitted because it would be too shocking and unsettling for women to see "an excited man". I laughed and reminded him that we have all seen "excited" men before. He argued that variation among individuals would prove to be perplexing.

This guy had been a sexist jerk to me in the past, so I have to admit that I had a knee jerk reaction and I'm not proud of my response. I said, "oh, you mean that men would be shocked and unsettled when their girlfriends came to them and said "gee honey, are you sure you're average sized? You are so much smaller than he is". Don't pretend that you are "protecting" us, you're protecting your own fragile egos." He got very upset, and left the room.

So, yeah. I guess that for as long as the human body remains a "shameful" object nothing will change.

Ewan McGregor seems to be a one man crusade for male full frontal. I think the guy must have a deal with his agent that he does a nude scene in at least every other movie he makes.

 

Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender in The Full Monty 2 would be a license to print money.

 

I guess Ewan and his agent waived that condition when he got to be Obi-wan.

 

I never liked Robert Blackman's civilian outfits on TNG-VOY. They always looked rather bland, colorless and conservative.

I always thought the civilian outfits in TNG-era Trek were hilarious as a rule. I couldn't possibly imagine people actually wearing them day in and day out.

 

Really? I'd totally wear the suit Harry has on.
