Captain James T. Kirk would like to talk to you...Lieutenant Commander Leland T. Lynch FTW.
No other officers in the entire history of the series has ever felt the need to announce themselves using their entire rank and full name including middle initial.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard would also like a chat...
Norah Satie was a racist asshole.
So, I'm rewatching The Next Generation.
There have already been a couple of Officers who are complete arses...
So far, Lt. Logan is the biggest one.
He tries to have Geordi second guess himself, then tries to convince him to leave the Away-Team on the Planet.
Then, when Geordi decides to leave the Away-Team, Lt. Logan acts all incredulous and high-and-mighty, like he wouldn't do that when he was the first to suggest it!
Who and why do you feel belongs to this list?
Norah Satie was a racist asshole.
In what way?
Satie was paranoid to a fault, yes. She saw conspiracies around every corner. But I see no indication that she was racist.
If you're implying that she had a hatred of, say, Klingons, just because of her attitude towards J'Dan, I remind you that she thought quite highly of Worf.

I think he's referring to her treatment of Simon Tarses, accusing him of treason because he was 1/4 Romulan.

Oh. Tarses. Right.
Although isn't Satie's problem with him not *that* he's 1/4 Romulan, but that he lied about it? In which case I could understand. You don't lie on an Academy application, no matter what the circumstances.
Watch "The Neutral Zone" again. Every 24th century person in that episode is a complete self-righteous asshole, with the exception of Data.

She sort of takes that, rather small, lie and runs it into the end zone with it to the Nth degree, accusing him and his grandfather of being Romulan collaborators.

Why?Threads like this always make me cringe.
