Rate and discuss (with spoilers for the episode, but not for forthcoming episodes) "The Lion and the Rose", airing on the 13th April on HBO and on the 14th April on Sky Atlantic.

Sky doesn't seem to be doing the simultaneous broadcast at 2am our time like they did with the season premiere. I assume that was a one-off for the opener then?

Most news outlets reported that the simultaneous airings on Sky Atlantic would be for the whole season, not just the premiere. Either they were mistaken, there's been a change in plans or the Sky planner will shift in the coming hours.

Doesn't show up on the Sky Go schedule and the Sky Atlantic GoT web site states the first showing is Mon 14 Apr, 9:00pm, so perhaps it was just for episode one.

So judging by the title, I'm guessing this is the one where King Joffrey and Margaery Tyrell get married and live happily ever after?

I'm walking on sunshine (whoa oh)
I'm walking on sunshine (whoa oh)
I'm walking on sunshine (whoa oh)
And don't it feel good (HEY!) Alright now.

I knew what was coming, but still, sooooooooo rewarding. Especially after the buildup to it.

Awesome episode.

They did an excellent job of writing Sansa out of one of her own POV chapters (and removing all her agency in the bargain, but that was clear from last week).

The scenes at the Dreadfort were very good, which is a promising improvement from last season. I liked that Locke and Ramsay are buddies and fellow torture enthusiasts. Not really clear why they bothered casting Fat Walda, though.

The show's version of Stannis is still terribly written. It sometimes feels like D&D just skimmed the Davos chapters but didn't actually catch any of the finer points.

Ha, we'll I was in the dark on that one, very interesting. I assume that was by Sansa's hand. I feel I need to read the books though as I stall feel like I'm getting the Cliff's Notes version of the proceedings.

I rather enjoyed the way the wedding was played, introducing numerous characters and showing all of them with motive for what was about to happen like it was an Agatha Christy movie.

I presume that was the last ever episode, as I'm never watching it again! ;)

Anyone who rejoices can get fucked; I loved, loved that boy.

Goodnight sweet Prince, I'll never forget you :( :( :(

Seriously though, I do love Joffrey, easily in my Top 3 characters. I don't get why people say they hate him on the show; he's frickin hilarious to watch!

^Are you referencing the actor or the character? People hate the character on the show because he's an asshole.

Still, with that said, I didn't see that ending coming. I haven't read the books but I assumed Jof would live indefinitely. He was a king backed by the Lannisters and the Tyrrells.

I couldn't give the episode the highest mark because I was left with too little resolve. I wish they say if Rickon made it to Jon or not, or did Osha sell him?

Great episode, I'm actually starting to not dislike seeing too much of Theon's off-book storyline. But, I have to wonder where Littlefinger is in the show, surely the actor is still apart of the show?

I found out what happened to Joffrey sometime during season two, but didn't know when it would take place. Pretty much everyone acts like a cunt in this episode. Theon's storyline is so un-godly boring I tune out whenever he appears on screen. His captors are just as bad as Joffrey, though it was interesting that little shit (I don't bother with names anymore) is a Snow.

I would love the story to progress and we actually get to see the dragons in action, or the battle with the white walkers actually goes somewhere, but clearly thats reserved for later books.
