Speaking of overplayed songs, I get tired of hearing Adele Dazeem's "Let it Go" soundtrack from the movie Frozen. Why are they playing this song over and over on the radio? It doesn't sound like pop. It's so theatrical, they might as well play "Beyond the Barricade" from Les Miz!
Yeah but that album has been no.1 for at least 6 weeks and shifted millions, which is very rare for a soundtrack. It obviously has struck a chord with a lot of people for some reason. I have not heard it, or the track you refer to, but I do know that for some reason that album has been a massive smash hit.
This thread is about overplayed songs, so it's not about how popular a song is or how many awards it's garnered. Just saying.
No one mentioned Taylor Swift! Yay! Anyway...I don't listen to radio or watch video channels that repeat the same thing.
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas From the bottom of my heart! Damn you, now it's stuck in my head and I haven't listened to music or the radio in months.
It seems like these songs have been on Radio playlists for over a year: Wake Me Up - Avicii Counting Stars - One Republic Happy - Pharrell Williams
And doubly so for "Silly Love Songs." I know it's supposed to be a bit of a self-parody, but it just sounds, well, silly.
You asked why it is being played on the radio so much. I answered. So why don't you clamber down from that high horse there pal. Just saying.
My post was perfectly in keeping with the gist of this year old thread he necroed. I don't see any reason for criticising what I posted, it was perfectly relevant and his smug reply was totally unwarranted. He's not the fucking thread police.
Heh, no, I just don't like being told off by a random nobody for not sticking to the precise word of the thread title.
Remind me again that's one of it's so bad it's good films. Yes it's a cheesy film and it knows it. And yes it had a decent soundtrack by Queen.
