Gravity taking the technical awards is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Where do short films usually get shown? Just film festivals or whatever?

 

^Pretty much. Local art theaters and such often get the nominated shorts as a package showing for a limited time.

I can't believe I actually got 2 out of the 3 short categories right. So I'm 7/8

 

Well that's the first big upset of the night. I think most people expected The Act of Killing to win.

 

Is that a new commercial? "Has Danny Trejo ever turned down a part?" "No."

ETA: U2 in good form. Even Harrison Ford enjoyed them.
