Kind off makes wish they would had not done so many homages. The final Cartoon Network episodes involving Ahsoka and Barriss are just top-notch and some of the greatest writing I've ever seen in the entire series. If those episodes don't sway somebody to liking her a little bit more then nothing will.
If we assume that Ahsoka is a teenager in the sense of a typical human teenager during the Clone Wars and has yet to reach her species' physical maturity when she walks off into the sunset at the end of Season 5 then if she were to reemerge in the Sequel Trilogy that would be, oh, 55-60 years later give or take. She'd be turning into an old lady by then (I'm not sure what the average life span of a female Togruta is, so this is all just spitballing and a woman in her seventies might still be considered middle-aged on her world), but I could see Ashley Eckstein or another actress given the makeup of a mature Togruta woman and reprising Ahsoka in her later years.
In one of the Blu-Ray extras for Clone Wars, Filoni tells us George always saw Ahsoka dying at some point (whereas Filoni advocated keeping her character alive). So her survival into Rebels isn't necessarily a given - much less the ST.

Except that Lucas is no longer the one making the final decisions, while Filoni is in charge of Rebels (though answering to Kathleen Kennedy and Disney, no doubt).
So I guess each of them is suppose to be analogous to one of the protagonists in the ANH: Hera is Han, Sabine is Leia, Ezra is Luke, Kanan is Obi-Wan, Chopper is the droids, Zeb is Chewie and the Inquisitor is Vader.

It should be interesting where they take these characters if Weisman is there to helm the show for all five seasons. I still think they'll fire him by season one or two.

It still seems odd to me that the show is focused on all-new characters. I mean, TCW had its share of new characters, but still focused largely on familiar faces like Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Palpatine, Yoda, Cody, and the droids. Heck, even the Ewok TV movies and animated series focused largely on Wicket. So seeing a Star Wars series that doesn't seem to feature familiar characters at all is unexpected. I do hope there are some established faces in the mix, at least in major recurring roles. There's a lot about the era before ANH that I'd like to see filled in, stuff that involves established characters like Vader, Tarkin, Palpatine, and the Organas.

That's assuming she didn't spend the majority of the intervening decades frozen in a block of carbonite.![]()
