Sleepy Hollow (Spoilers)

I tremble for the day he discovers internet porn...

That said, the man-out-of-time aspect is wonderful to watch and given that much time has not passed yet in the show (a few weeks now? A couple months? They mention that it was the new year), it could be a fun trope for some time yet. Still, wandering around modern day Sleepy Hollow suggests that there's a ton of stuff that DID exist in his time that is still fundamentally the same, albeit with a different approach.

Did they HAVE girly magazines in the 18th century?

Mark

He already has....

There was a scene where he tried to use a computer to research something and somehow managed to end up on a porn site with a cam-2-cam show. :guffaw:

The point is, an educated and open mind can adapt to new circumstances. And people in general are better at adapting to technological advance than you'd think. There are towns in rural India, say, where the children had grown up without ever knowing electricity or indoor plumbing, but then charities brought in laptops and satellite phones and such, and the kids became skilled users of the technology quite quickly.

I remember that story! Supposedly some of the kids even figured out hacking. Okay. :)

I loved tonight when he bitched about having an outdated flip-phone.

Very good finale so far. It had such a Da Vinci Code-esque feel to it, especially the search for the map to Purgatory. For a moment I wasn't sure how Crane or Abby would act upon finding the map due to the prophecy of one Witness turning against the other. As Henry admonished Abby, "Prophecies have a nasty way of fulfilling themselves, if you let them." Abby was kind to let Crane decide what he wanted to do with the map, and Crane ended up doing the noble thing by destroying it.

But alas! Thanks to Crane's photographic memory, he was able to recreate the map. According to him, Katrina held the key to stop the second Horseman, but Katrina couldn't leave Purgatory without leaving another soul behind, so Abby volunteered, and now she must face Moloch.

But wait! Walter Bishop, a.k.a. Sin Eater, is the Second Horseman and the Cranes' son Jeremy?! Whoa! What a twist. I never saw any of that coming.

I realized as they were trying to bind the ground, that the Horseman had already been raised... and I wondered if it was him, but I NEVER considered that he was JEREMY!!!!

Just goes to show, keep a guy in limbo for 200 years and he goes insane. He blames Ichabod for abandoning him, when he DIED before Jeremy was even BORN!

And I thought Katrina's coven turned against her and cast her into purgatory... so why is he pissed off at his mom's coven? Its not like she led them to his imprisonment.

Poor misguided Jeremy.

Will Jennifer wake up and rescue Abbie?

Will Abbie simply recite the encantation and free herself from purgatory?

Will Crane make his own Golem?

Will Katrina kick Abraham's arse all over Sleepy Hollow?

Will Captain Irving ever want to leave Litchfield Penitentiary? ;)

Inquiring minds, want to know.

NOW!

It was 2 hours long. You should have at least gotten the first hour.

Should have gotten the second hour, it's normal time slot.

I enjoyed it, loved the twist sat the end of the show! Loved it!
The DVR on my cable system isn't that smart. If the show didn't start in it's normal time slot, then it considers the show to not be "on". I guess it's my fault for setting it up to only look for new episodes during the normal time slot. I hate getting multiple copies of stuff.

Wow, that was an awesome finale. The first half was really good with the stuff in the tomb, and Andy's new form was pretty cool. But the second half was even better. The stuff in purgatory was seriously creepy, and I thought the shattering glass imagery for the door to purgatory was nifty.
I did not see any of the stuff at the end coming. I was especially shocked by the Henry/Jeremy/War stuff, I did not expect that at all. I can't wait for season 2!

It's a miniscule thing, but I laughed when Ichabod complained the search engine on Abbie's phone wasn't as good a listener as Yolanda on the Northstar car phone.

Yeah, that was funny. His reaction when it offered to search for Yolanda was great too.

Maybe John Noble will have a Darth Vader moment next season... Evil turning back to good.

Outstandingly produced, directed, acted, and (almost) written. I'm hoping they can eke out a second season of this premise with the same balance and quality.

Just caught up with this show, and I have to say it's a lot of fun! The "Evil on the side of the English" Revolutionary war thing ever so slightly irked me for about three seconds, then I got over it and started to really enjoy the crazyness. Loving the two leads, but more Jenny, please! And once again, John Noble's presence makes everything better.

Looking forward to season 2!

I was finding this show pretty predictable... but they totally got me with the John Noble twist!!! I did not see that coming at all! In a good way!

I was also totally expecting a resurrected George Washington.
