Wow. RIP. :(

Sad news. I thought he was great in the Fast movies.

It's not a hoax, I'm afraid. The AP and ABC News have confirmed it. I just read it on Huffingtion Post.

So sad. :( Can't say I was a fan, but he was too damn young.

Rest in peace. Any reason why people would think that it's a hoax?

A hoax-debunking website posted something about it, the story also reads like a hoax as the crash is a bit "over described" by saying the car "crashed and then exploded." It's more likely the car crashed.... caught on fire.... exploded. And even then more of a "WOMF!" like when you light your gas-grill after it's been on for a moment too long than a Hollywood-style car explosion.

But when you take a man who's mostly known for starring in movies with over-the-top car stunts and explosions and report a story about him being in a car crash/explosion it's easy to raise an eyebrow in skepticism.

Paul Walker is one of those actors I only think about when I see a F&F trailer or movie. He's barely on my radar as, well, what else has he really been in of note? (Varsity Blues?)

And this way of dying is, well, rather "ironic" in a way. Still sad to see a man as young as him die in such a way leaving behind loved ones. And seemed like a pretty decent guy from what I've seen of him in the media.

Sad to see it happen.

Oh Thank god.

Maybe this means that they will finally release Throb on DVD.

(I looked through his imdb listing and that was my only positive reaction. Egad Timeline is so fricking dull.)

I, too, was confused by the initial claims that it was a hoax, and the obvious irony of him dying in a fiery car wreck made me skeptical.

Sad to hear it's true, though. I was never a big fan but that's a shitty way to go, and way too young.

Damn, that's terrible news. It's always a shame when someone dies so suddenly and so young. RIP. :(

Just saw the news on my phone. A terrible loss at any age, let alone an age as young as forty. RIP Paul Walker and his friend/driver.

That's awful. I liked Walker. Running Scared is one of my favorite movies. Seemed like a nice guy in interviews. Sorry bout his kid. What a shitty thing to have happen, especially around the holiday. I was hoping it was a hoax since it was a car crash...:(

Of course, no age is fitting for this kind of tragic end, but I hadn't even realized he was already 40. He still barely looked 30. Seems like a loss of a good person, nice guy, coming back from his charity event, wasn't even driving... sad

This is so weird. I just flipped the channel to watch a scene with Paul Walker in Fast and the Furious airing on Bravo. I turned my head and saw the news story on my computer.

RIP
