It irritates me to no end when I see something or someone I need to look up right away in a film -and have no computer ready for it.

Mine are; sometimes I watch films on TV, sometimes I only use the TV as a monitor...

Don't have a TV for one; and even if I had, my computer has a nice big screen with a great sound system. And unlike a tv I don't need a remote and I can alt-tab to other things.

Yeah, if I'm watching a movie I am sitting on the couch with my feet up. Sitting at a computer to watch a movie is not my idea of a pleasurable movie watching experience. If I really feel the need to look something up I'll use my IMdb app.

I do occasionally use my computer to play movies using my HDMI out though, so I know what you mean about the mouse pointer appearing onscreen. Bugs the hell out of me too, which is why I avoid using my computer to watch movies if I can help it.
