Harrison Ford agrees to be in Trek 3

Cute and sweet but not good enough. I think we're in for a healthy decade of Trek vs Wars angst. Plenty of opportunities for folks to air out those old inferiority complexes from the 80s.

Don't get me wrong.. I LOVE playing what if, and with Abrams anywhere NEAR both films, a bidirectional crossover is all but inevitable.

would be good if he appears in a cameo as some Starfleet Admiral giving Kirk his orders on the view screen (be a step up from Harve Bennett:lol:)

I agree that it´d be fun to see Harrison Ford having a cameo in a Trek movie. Although I don´t really see him as a Starfleet admiral - to me he´ll always be that adventurer/scoundrel kind of character and doesn´t have that aura of authority necessary for portraying an admiral. But of course, YMMV :)

Mario

He can be a crusty suspect old admiral who barks out dubious orders from his desk.

Then, in the final scene, he explodes and it's revealed he is full of those brain parasites.

(A deleted scene would have Chapel leaving his quarters late at night, disarrayed.)

Harrison's always been cool and all that, but I can't see some hot nurse entering his room for any other reason than to administer his medication ... to say nothing of leaving said room looking dishevelled, with her hair all discombobulated and wearing a satisfied grin on her face! Even ten years ago, it would've been hard to see that happenning ...

Anyone blonde whose disarray is pleasing to the eye.

A definite improvement to Majel Barrett, then

Nope, me neither. Sorry, Han ;)

You are obviously young.

I'd like to leave Harrison Ford's room in disarray any day

He could play some kind of Archaeology Professor at the Academy, who gets enlisted to go help find some kind of religious artifact, which is also being pursued by the Klingons...

It's jokingly but would be funny. Same goes for Cumberbatch saying he's going to appear in the new Star Wars movies.

Hell, enough of this actually crossing over with producers, writers, directors, actors, etc. between the two franchises and we might actually get a Star Wars / Star Trek crossover. :P

Just like reboots are the thing du jour in another decade crossovers might be it.

"Let's reboot AND smoosh stuff together!"

This could actually happen.
