What is "The Fall"?

You know, with David's record of killing characters, and a title like his novel is going to have.... Oh damn....

Remember, these may just be placeholder titles having little or nothing to do with the actual stories.

since people die in the real world as well (something that was driven home hard for my family last night).

Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that.

I know it's a huuuge long shot, but it would be awesome if David Mack's Fall book was dealing with the New Frontier crews. I've always wanted Mack to take over that series. I'd love to see the NF characters in line with the rest of the 24th century series

Sep: DS9: Revelations and Dust -- David R. George III
Oct: The Crimson Shadow -- Una McCormack
Nov: A Ceremony of Losses -- David Mack
Dec: TTN: The Poisoned Chalice -- James Swallow
Jan: Peaceable Kingdoms -- Dayton Ward

Is The Poisoned Chalice a working title, so named because it falls to that author to clean up whatever Mack does?

(I'm aware the boring answer is 'no, it's not that kind of series')

Sorry for the confusion on authors and titles... the list was based on what Pocket sent over as the 'final' list. I think it began when I sent my initial list over based on the assumption that Titan was the second book in the series since I had the most info on it. As Pocket publicity and I emailed back and forth, I think it became the victim of a cut and past error on either my or their part, and thus, but the end, made it into the article that way. Errors are corrected, thanks to a few eagle eyes (you know who you are :) ).

Here's some more detail from Dayton Ward's blog:

Revelations and Dust by David R. George III, “starring” members of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine cast (September)

The Crimson Shadow by Una McCormack, focusing on Picard and Garak (October)

A Ceremony of Losses by David Mack (November)

The Poisoned Chalice by James Swallow, focusing on Riker and the crew of the U.S.S. Titan (December)

Peaceable Kingdoms, by me, “starring” Picard and the Enterprise-E (January 2014)

I'm really psyched about the Una McCormick book. I can't wait to see how frustrated Picard gets dealing with Garak, or at least I'm assuming that's what's going to happen. :)

Dayton said farther down in his post the reason he didn't say what David Mack's book was about is because David hasn't said so himself and doesn't want to steal his thunder.

The more I read about this, the more excited I become. I'm really the digging the concept, especially after reading Dayton's blog about the novels intertwining not only on a story level, but characters intermixing aswell. Should be great!

Could you post a link for Dayton's blog please where he mentions talking about writting these books and the other authors invovled in this book project please. please thank you.

Thanks for posting the link I'm really looking forward to reading these novels.:techman:A Picard and Garak novel fantasttic 1Having ds9 characters in crossover stories is long overdue.

The "Fall" in question isn't Romulus, is it? We all know what eventually happens to it. Isn't it about time for the Hobus Supernova to go down?
