On December 6, a new Star Trek into Darkness trailer will be released online. The short trailer is said to be an online exclusive and so won’t be shown in theaters. The trailer should appear at the official Star Trek Into Darkness site, located here.

Hopefully, it's not going to set a NerdRageStorm if it's like 30 seconds or or just shows generic stuff or any other reason folks who are already champing at the bit would be push over the edge. I'm personally good with whatever they give us at the pace they feel it's best for us to get it, some Online fans though, are getting really close to their last nerve.

Not too wound up about a sixty-second trailer.

I just don't have the same excitement for this film that I had for Star Trek 2009. Part of it is that I found the first film lackluster, the four year gap and a complete lack of any compelling tie-in material just makes me lukewarm towards the new film.

I'll be seeing it, but I've not been this tepid about a Trek project since Insurrection which I skipped in the theater. The poster ripping off The Dark Knight isn't helping matters either.
