As long as I retain the right to chop it off if it gets to close to me, then go for it, these days tho doing that will just get you a taser in the balls...

Historical research isn't just about reading history books. It's about reading source material.
Nobody would take me seriously as a researcher if all I did was to read secondary literature.

What a genuinely stupid point to make.

European historians don't just copy what "the Yankees" write. They just come to the same conclusions based on the source material.
