Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter produced by Tim Burton in the works

Re: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter produced by Tim Burton in the work

I don't like bigots, and I don't like Confederate sympathizers, and I feel they are one and the same. I offer them no respect because they deserve none.

This movie might become a cult classic, because people like vampires, and people love Abraham Lincoln and see him as a hero. Was he flawed? Yes. Was he better than the alternative? Absolutely.

I have not said one racist thing, I respect my ancestors including the ones who fought against britain in the revolutionary war and ones who fought against the union during the civil war, the ones who deserve zero respect are the yankees who have managed to fool themselves into thinking they were heros, instead of the truth, they were murderers, rapists and tyrants.

You're cute. :adore:

You're not.

So, what do you think of the movie?

^That would be a good reason to be in this thread.

So if they make Hitler, vampire slayer you think only people who watch it should have an opinion on it.

Well, generally, interest in seeing a movie, and seeing a movie, are good reasons to post in this thread. Arguing about the Confederacy would belong in Misc. or TNZ. Since all you're doing is arguing about the Confederacy, perhaps you should go there instead of arguing about it here in a thread about a movie you seem to plan on never seeing.

You actually think I watched it...
Well, if you didn't, you missed the best part:

Then again, only one of your posts in this thread has been even close to on topic in that it regards to the movie and not your view on 150 year old history.

That depends on how you read into them.

What do you think about the idea behind the movie itself? Do you like vampires?

Eh. I wouldn't root for the villains of the film, myself. Number one, they'd have no compunction to killing you and sucking your blood. Number two, Abraham Lincoln was an honest, gentle man, who, while flawed and human, is the one killing the very vampires who seek to use humanity as an entree.

He was not gentle, he was a butcher, I celebrate every J.W. Boothe day. Atleast vampires are honest about being evil.

You celebrate the murder of a former President of the United States? You venerate his coward of an assassin?! That's disgusting!

Seth Graham-Smith would probably be amused you're taking this so seriously.

He was never my president.

Of course not, you weren't even alive when he was President. He was, however, a President of the United States, and if you are a U.S. citizen, he was, in that fashion, your President, as much as you wish to deny it.

That said, celebrating the assassination of a sitting President of the United States is disgusting. I don't know how you can so easily approve of blatant murder, particularly by that of a coward, traitor, and fool.

Seriously, that's disgusting.

Wrong the south seceded during his term and he was executed after the war, he was never any southerners president, if a rabid dog bites you, you kill it, he was a bad man, so he had to be killed.
