Paul McGann's first in-character shot as the Doctor in sixteen years, as he finally gets to ditch the cowboy dandy outfit and wig and go for something more Eccleston-ish. (And Toby Jones is looking a bit Tennant-ish, come to think of it.)

That's the cover to the boxset of season 5, of the 8th Doctor Doctor Adventures which Big Finish started producing in December of 2006.

I like my Doctor's to wear theatrical, slightly over the top outfits. I never cared for Nine's outfit either, which this one is clearly aping.

It's clearly meant to link the Eighth Doctor to the Ninth Doctor though, I like his outfit quite a bit actually.

I quite liked, and am still a fan of, the "Wild Bill Hickok" suit (love frock coats). The hair had to go, however.

I just wish it had been brown or black. The blue makes it look like a cheap vinyl womens coat from the 70's.

So, with the more Eccleston-esque look, the (maybe) Dream Lord and the Daleks, does this mean we're FINALLY starting to move into the Time War (or setting it up for the 50th Anniversary)?? They CAN'T put it off much longer...
