Series 7 FINALLY Starts Shooting

Arthur Darvil and Karen Gillan's departure from the series had turned out to be rather short lived as they're back shooting again. It's just pick-ups/reshoots for Episode 4 though. Or is that what they want us to think...?

No, it is just pick-ups/reshoots for Episode 4.

First official photo of the new cast. Since they're putting it front and centre I'm guessing the new look for MS is here to stay.

It could just be an alternate outfit for him, like the green overcoat in the second half of season 6. That was, after all used for all the promotional images even though he switched back and forth between that and his "traditional look."

And really it's only the jacket and waistcoat, he still seems to be wearing the same trousers/boots from what I could tell and the shirt/bow tie seem similar.

I like it though.

It's definately a different shirt. Not as dark as the one in season 5, but not as light as the one in season 6.

I see the Ood are back this year... Again.

Sort of.

It seems that as well as reshoots for Episode 4, they're also shooting some sort of mini-episode (possibly a CIN sketch), in which the Ponds end up with an Ood houseguest.

And an Episode 1 Prequel scene with MS and Barnaby Edwards. (Who's finally been let out of his Dalek.)

I really love the vest!! Astute fans of gentleman attire viewers will notice that the bottom button of Matt's vest is UNBUTTONED which is...wait for it...CORRECT buttoning of a vest. Nice to see.

Also like the new bow tie. I felt the red and blue were rather...cartoonish in their bright primary colors, and I enjoy the realism of this one more.

Huh. Has anyone else noticed that Matt Smith's 11th DOctor dresses very, very, very similarly to how the 10th Doctor did when he became human and was John Smith? Tweed...bow tie...

vest? he's wearing a jacket, waistcoat and a shirt, how can you tell about his vest? he might not even be wearing one... and who has buttons on a vest?

Under the Tweed Jacket, over the white shirt, there is a Grey article of clothing with the bottom button undone. We call that Grey item a Vest, I believe this is what you are referring to as a Waistcoat

Right. :)

American Vest = British Waistcoat.
American Tank Top = British Vest.

At least, that's the way I understand it. :)

Pretty much, you can also hear undershirt, besides tank top, for the apparel worn under the outer shirt.
