Oh, she's cute! She looks plenty Waspy to me.

From the moment Loki made eye contact with him the seeds were planted. You then saw Banner rub his eyes, that wasn't just eye strain. But just in case to reinforce and sell that we had the Black Widow interrogation of Loki where he reveals that play to her. Loki was keeping Banner from being in the same control you saw at the close of the film.
He was being influenced by Loki.I loved the movie and can't add anything that hasn't already been said. But I do have a comment/question about the Hulk though.
To me there seemed to be a disconnect between the way they portrayed the Hulk in his first appearance in the film compared to his second appearance. In the first appearance, he appeared to be an out-of-control monster, pissed off at everyone and everything in his path and could not be reasoned with.
In the second appearance, he seemed to be a rational person willing to follow orders and seemingly completely under control of Banner.
That just totally confused me. So what am I missing?

Stana Katic would be perfect.Nathan could be great fun as Hank. I wonder who would be his Janet?
I agree. It was personal. I think the last few whacks were for good measure. From the moment Loki made eye contact with him the seeds were planted. That's how I read it, and why I thought the Scene Everyone Loves was so narratively right.

He was in full control then and wanted Loki to know he was!!![]()
So the story is that Banner was trying to duplicate the serum that gave Captain America his strength. Leading Banner to try Gamma rays. Nice twist and not sure if that was in any of the Hulk movies.
^Thor would have to get in a position to pin Hulk down first which isn't an easy task, and Hulk would probably just smash the floor around him and fall through.
Well, Thor did hit him in the face with a hammer earlier. Maybe he was just evening the score. Or maybe it was to show that while Banner may be in better control of the Hulk, those violent impulses are still there. That, and to get a laugh.
I thought it was meant to be a fist bump as well. Still, funny as hell.Well, Thor did hit him in the face with a hammer earlier. Maybe he was just evening the score. Actually when I saw it I thought it was more attempting a fist bump having beat the badguys, but taking Thor offguard and well, yeah.
