Ear Rings

I used to have some back in the mid 80s but I quit bothering with them as they didn't seem worth the effort.

It's probably because they like them. Why do people get tattoos? Because it creates an aesthetic they find pleasant and expressive. It's also a long standing human trait to decorate our bodies, that goes back to the time of cavemen. I plan on getting a tattoo myself, and maybe even my ears pierced. It's just something I would find appealing.

I think you would really good with a stud or small sized stretcher in each ear. It would suit you.

I should nail my flag to the post here and say I think all piercings are gross. I don't think much of tattoos either unless they're very classy indeed.

I have to admit I'm pretty opened minded about piercings and tattoos. I draw the line at getting a prince albert though.

I wouldn't go round saying 'that's gross' to people, of course. If that's open-minded then that's me.

Seriously, doesn't this hurt your sexual partner during intercourse?

Not at all. And the second hole isn't a big deal, though I have gotten in the habit of sitting down to pee for simplicity's sake (now that's too much information).

Generally I’m cool with tattoos, unless they’re on the face. It can be disconcerting to try and have a conversation with someone who looks like Queequeg from Moby Dick.

Piercings are another matter. While I certainly respect people’s right to do as they please with their own bodies, I just don’t get why anyone would think they need more holes than the ones they were born with.

An open mind is a good thing. An open urethra... probably not so much.
May I use that as a signature line?

I agree completely. That's why I got a lower back tattoo of the Yeats' poem Peace with a flight of doves beneath it looking like they were taking wing from the crack of my ass. You know, classy.

Best thing I'm going to read all day I suspect.

Probably wasn't the best idea to read these last two pages while working. :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

In college, back in '85, a girl talked me into letting her pierce my left ear with a stud. I kept it for all of two weeks and was done with it. Funny thing is, it never closed over. That little fact has come in handy on more than one Halloween. :techman:

^That's funny, Alrik. Some people have trouble keeping their piercings open if they don't wear earrings for a few weeks.
