I also knew the books first, before the movies came out, so I get what you mean. I'm not sure I had any definite idea in my head beforehand, but I remember thinking Holloway's voice wasn't quite what I'd expected Pooh to sound like. That would be the one. But I read the books with Shepard's illustrations first, which had actually been my mom's, that is to say I read parts of them anyway, and Pooh sounded different in my head.
