For those of you who have access to tribble, you'll be able to test the new Odyssey and Bortas on it once the test server is back up. They WON'T be using the Odyssey and Bortas costumes however, so it's simply a test of their stats and abilities.

Yes it is, but I can't answer as to who you should talk too. Not sure who's got the higher crafting levels around here.

I can help you there I have a character with maxed out crafting skills.

And I'd almost say even without all the data samples, there's a large collection of them in the fleet bank that's even still growing. I've got some sitting in my bank only because of the fact there's no room for them in the fleet bank.

Actually having a good stock of materials is good if you want to get decent gear with your dilithium seeing as the vendors don't sell the good stuff anymore.

Yeah, my stock is going up. Been considering sending my excess over to my KDF toon for that fleet. Most of what I get I stick in the Fleet Bank, but there's some that I can't put in the bank because of them already being to 250, and no other slots open.

Well, it mainly offers up ones that contribute to success whereas I'm usually going for the *crit* success. Also the filter still needs some work (or did). The last time I tried it was Tuesday and it still had some glitches.

Also I noticed that dilithium payout on some crit successes has dropped to 125 di.

Yes; but if you skip out to the roster and list all who have one of the crit success things you need, the green will stand out to show you who has the success things also, or who has more than one.

Congratulations....
Have you played all the patrols as well? They should pop up when you get close to a system that has one. They are not given out by an NPC anymore like they used to.
They are quick and dirty one map missions mostly, but there are some gems in there as well....
Go and explore to find them all
If you are interested in the Diplomatic Corspe you should definitely get into the Doff System, because you can't ever reach Diplomatic ranks with the current 10DXP those missiosn give out. You need the DOFF commendation points for that.

The best diplomatic player missions however can be found on Vulcan, in the Bajor System, on Starbase 39 and Memory Alpha.

You'll need to update you thesis on diplomacy advancement. ;-)

Have they finally changed the numbers? Might be worth looking into diplomatic missions again then, to shorten the last bit to tier4.

Played my first elite STF. I ran the KA space, and it took forever (about 45 mins). Donatra's ship alone took 30 mins, and about half way through, the entire zone unteamed. Weird. For rewards, I picked up a large engine consumable, 2 EDC's, and a purple Graviton Deflector Arrary MK XI [EM][CMS][Ins].

I also ran a DOFF mission to turn over contraband, and I must have had a lot of contraband because that one DOFF mission gave me 2,000 dilithium.

I remember playing on tribble I used to hold onto my contraband as it got used a lot to make weaponry through the DOFF system. Now I take the turn over contraband mission when ever I see as it allows rewards over 500 dl. First time I've seen a critical success though. Nice.

Ooo. Got a crit on this DOff mission today. Very nice!

I had the same issue. I logged on half an hour before it went down. just long enough to collect some Doff rewards and start new Doff assignments. Now that's it back up, I'm going to spend some time re-familiarizing myself with the foundry tools.

Kaylee the mechanic from Serenity. She's a Federation Engineer. My current FED Engr, Jho'dig, was my first character and I made some mistakes with him. I'm a little seasoned now, so should do better. Trying to get the new toon to look as much like the person as possible. Any of you artistic souls feel free to give suggestions for color or other settings. (like use A19 for hair, etc...) Thanks!

Okay, here's my Kaylee. Appreciate the suggestion from Methos and Overlord. I kept the green eyes, but changed the hair color and shine to close to pretty close to Methos. I did not find those uniform choices. Her options are just the starting uniforms plus TOS.

It's not possible to truly capture the beauty of Jewel Staite with a toon, but this is about a close as I can get.

Who said I missed them? What I said was that I had a little time to kill on a Saturday afternoon, decided I wanted to play STO for a bit, sat down, turned on the client, and found downtime. Didn't say I couldn't figure out WHY I couldn't play, just that I was excited to do so, and it was down when I tried.

And even if I DID miss a maintenance announcement somehow, all I'd have to do is wait until tomorrow, and I'd see another one, so I won't miss them for long!

Think they abuse the word "Scheduled" a bit, though. If it were really scheduled, seems like it would be an expected thing, that you'd know about well in advance. When an announcement pops up an hour or two before the server goes down, not sure that really counts as planned. Kinda, since it didn't unexpectedly crash, but not really.
