For those who enjoyed "Blood and Sand" two years ago, and the prequel "Gods Of the Arena" last year, I assume you are counting the days until 1/27/12's premiere of Vengeance!

I will miss Andy... just rewatched B&S this past week and nearly cried during a commentary when Viva told him he was a beautiful man.

Hopefully the further success of the show will introduce more people to season 1 and to his immense contribution to the success of this franchise.

Speaking of franchise, I somehow missed that Starz has already signed on for another season.

I loved listening to Deknight tell the story of how the subject of Lucy playing Lucretia came up... and how he always wanted planned Lucretia's ultimate coup de grace from the getgo but was told repeatedly "no"... until TPTB decided they wanted her to survive the season 1 bloodbath and Deknight said "sure... but you have to let me do THIS."

Gods was great in that you really see where these two (Battiatus and Lucretia) come from... not to mention filling out the back story on Crixus and Doctore.
 
I'm so excited for this. At the same time, I will miss Andy Whitfield in the role and I'm rather nervous about the new guy. Here's hoping.
 
I don't quite know how I will see this. I don't get Starz. I watched the first season via Netflix but didn't watch the prequel season. Also don't have Netflix (that's a different rant). So is there a way to watch this other than wait for the DVD?

I read there will be a season pass available on Xbox (Zune), but not 100% certain.

I'm told the 1st ep is avail on Facebook THIS friday, but haven't confirmed that (not a facebooker).

I think you can signup with starz and get it online.

It will probably be on sale on a per-episode basis from iTunes and Amazon, also.
