I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here, but I just read a pretty exciting bit of news over at TrekMovie.com, and I wanted to share it with my fellow fan film folks:

>>"Lost Vignette" To Be Released This Weekend
Phase II’s Senior Executive Producer James Cawley has also announced that a "long-lost Klingon vignette" titled “No Win Scenario” will be released on October 8, 2011 – commemorating the seventh anniversary of the release of Star Trek: New Voyage’s very first episode (“In Harm’s Way”, 10/08/04.). The vignette was originally filmed in 2005 was thought lost, but was re-discovered by actor John Carrigan who worked with other members of the team to finish it.

Official description: After being pitted against Kirk in a Klingon version of the “no-win scenario,” Kargh would hunger for the day when he and Kirk would meet for real. His hunger is soon satisfied! Starring John Carrigan, Anne Carrigan and James Cawley, the vignette features appearances by Larry Nemecek, Jeff Quinn, Julienne Irons, Andy Bray, and Paul R. Sieber. Written by Erik Korngold, directed by Erik J. Goodrich, and with updated VFX by Pony R. Horton and Tobias Richter of The Light Works.

Visit http://www.startrekphase2.com/ site on Saturday (at 7AM EST) to check it out.<<

This sounds GREAT! Unless I hear something to the contrary, I'll be looking forward to seeing "No Win Scenario" this weekend.

Re: Phase II Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Release of "Lost Vignette

Can anyone point me to this episode? I've gone to the Phase II website and couldn't find any links to watch it. I'd appreciate some help so I can see it.

The Lazyman's way to find it would always be to check the Star Trek Reviewed headline. What you would have found there if you had checked, is this:
______

I included the second item, as it was also released to the public this week, although it had been sent to me for comments a few weeks ago. If I get more information, or permission to add pictures, I will add that information. I suspect the Portuguese subtitles will be available soon.

That Tellarite looked great. And it was nice to see Kargh and the original Spock & Uhura again.

Fun stuff.

Re: Phase II Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Release of "Lost Vignette

I love these quickie vignettes! An appetizer to keep us from starving between full-length episodes. My hat's off to John Carrigan, Graham O’Hare, and Pony R. Horton for putting this together.

Re: Phase II Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Release of "Lost Vignette

I finally was able to catch "No Win Scenario," and it was nothing short of terrific. It had clever writing, great space battles and excellent make-up. The big "reveal" caught me totally by surprise. An excellent anniversary celebration!

Re: Phase II Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Release of "Lost Vignette

What a wonderful little treat. Happy Anniversary, gang!

Every time I watch a New Voyages/Phase II production I am transported back in time and reminded of everything I have always loved about Star Trek. Thank you!

I finally had a chance to watch it. As expected I enjoyed it a lot. James and the cast/crew did a fine job on this vignette.
