TNG's "Genesis" used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger.
The best of both worlds is among the scariest trek, the borg are fucking relentless in that episode. The captain being abducted was genuinely creepy, the way they just barge in and decapitate the entire ship. TNG era borg were absolutely horrible.

What got me about that episode was a scene where the kids are beating Kirk, and they cut the a shot of a little girl just kind of smiling at the violence. Real disturbing to me.Oh, Miri, when at the very beginning that man-child comes after Kirk for breaking his tricycle. There was something so wrong about that seen that made me (aged 6) just start shaking. I couldn't finish it.
