The best episode of ENT - Part Four

BlueStuff

Okay Trek fans, this game has been successful on the boards for the other shows, and I hope it prospers here as well. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you play again. Not a very accurate way of determining the best episode, but a fun game nonetheless. Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

TATV. No need to thank me. I consider removing this episode to be a necessary service to humanity.

Daedalus <---- IMO, the worst episode of the season after TATV. (hey, Bound at least hd eye candy, an Cotto did an okay job with the StormFront stuff <-- while I would expect both of these to go too, they weren't as bad as Deadalus)

Say bye bye Bound: Ties with Bounty as the two most cringworthy episodes in all of Enterprise. Once again, women are sex objects and once again, the only male on board who is immune to the Orions' pheromones has to save the ship because the female crew members are still as helpless as newborn kittens. :censored:

Storm Front (II) - The last of the bad episodes.

Hmmmm. I need to watch Bound again.

Bound sucks big time.
Oh, and don't forget that everybody in the 22nd century is heterosexual, and I mean, in the entire universe. Another wonderful unintended message of this episode.

Observer Effect: because humans are the bestest awesomest species in the galaxy, the only one that feels compassion. Really? Really.

Personally, I don't like Bound because it's also sexist against men - all men are horny little devils who only think with their penises unless a woman has put a special "spell" on them.

Divergence - the whole issue of why Klingons on TOS didn't have forehead ridges was something that didn't need to be addressed. It should have been left for the viewers to assume that Klingons always had the ridges. I guess in some ways, DS9 is ultimately to blame here - for first making the situation an issue in Trails and Tribble-ations. Affliction and Divergence are well done and enjoyable, don't get me wrong. They are just ultimately unnecessary.

SFRabid deleted both parts of "Storm Front" while only eliminating one. But that's okay, because...

You can't go Home again. I am not a rabid TnT'er. However, if you're going to establish an intimate relationship as an ongoing storyline, you don't bust it up unless there is a really good reason. And frankly, having T'Pol bend to blackmail to get Mom's job back. A wasted sacrifice since Mom was a Syrranite and went into hiding not all that long afterward. Meanwhile, Trip -- even with T'Les' blessing -- didn't even try to stop her.

Little point in leaving this Affliction uncured then. Nice reference to Klingons able to disguise themselves and John Schuck's character having spied on Phlox. Oh and a reference to the H'urq... Beautiful music as the Columbia weighs anchor. I'll stop because I'm beginning regret choosing this one now!

Yeah, Bound is sexist overall. I thought that went without saying...

Borderland - Malik is a one-dimensional villain, and I think the Augments arc is weaker than the other arcs, because there's something not quite right about all the Augments (except the 'faulty' one) being portrayed as hopelessly (genetically?) evil. I can't say that I have a strong reason for removing the first part rather than the rest... or maybe it's because the inside conflicts of the Augments play the biggest role here.

Persis wasn't completely evil. She helped her father escape, knowing he'd go right back to Enterprise. I do agree, Malik was one-dimensional. At least Khan was capable of loving McGivers.

Damn, it's really hard to choose now. All the ones left are great. I do agree, however, that the Augments Arc is the weakest of the season's arcs - mostly because of Malik being a weak villain. So, I'll remove Cold Station 12. The Augments gets preference for having the amazingly awesome scene of Archer allowing himself to be blasted into space.

The Aenar: I thought this was an unnecessary coda to the Babel One/United duology. "United" ended on such a perfect note, with Archer, T'Pol, Shran, and Gral coming together to negotiate peace. It should have ended there.

Quite liked The Aenar for Jeffrey Combs' performance opposite the titular character and the first visit to Andoria too... but thems the rules, I guess.

I'll take out The Augments then. A little too obvious a Wrath of Khan rip off toward the end. Right down to the way Malik behaves when he's injured in battle, deciding to self destruct his ship. The revelation Arik Soong might suddenly get interested in artifical lifeforms was a predictable ending.
