And a clip from The Captain's. Is it just me or is Shatner teary-eyed here.

(Which I really need to see if it will be available online)

See, I have no more pictures but repeats but I bring these wonderful videos.

Shatner spoke quite a bit about this show, and how it came about. He noted that over the years he felt as if some fans were speaking derisively when they'ed shout things at him like, "Beam me up Scotty." and that it was quite a SHOCK to hear Patrick Stewart speak so proudly of his "work" on the series. So he wanted to speak with all the Captains (including Chris Pine) to see what common traits they all had, and that it did open his eyes.

Richard Arnold the "trek answer man" at the cons tells a story about watching Shatner climb all over some sacred ground at a church, trying to find the best place to interview Stewart, and how whenever someone came out to stop him they just "looked" at Shatner and said, "Oh that's Captain Kirk. Of course HE'S allowed!" :techman:

I hope to see it online somewhere, as I don't get EPIX either. Shatner did suggest it would eventually come to dvd.

I will say that Shatner is already filming a "pilot" for another epix show called FanATICS, about the people that go to conventions. He used as an example of what he's looking for, the story of a young woman at Sunday's con that used the rolemodels from Star Trek to help her make her choices in her army and later her civilian career.

Here's Shatner in Calgary this year, talking about many things, including "The Captains".

Oh, and he's releasing another record this year.

We don't call them stalkers.

We call them highly motivated fans.

Occasionally we call them Californians.... or Australians.

;)

Or Possums. Or Frootcakes. Or Dancing Doctors. Or people who use walkers. Or the Thighmistress.

Well technically DD is a Californian. :shifty:;)

But "People who use walkers" *giggle*

I was just going to say those New Yorkians , New Yorkish, New York-something ;) (What would that be J'Rulz?)

I MUCH prefer New Yorkers to "people who use walkers"... ALTHOUGH I have been known to use a walking stick from time to time because it looks sooooo stylish.

:guffaw:
