Why only five? I watch all the episodes on netflix.
It also depends on your preferences. Do you like more technical ones? Time travel? Borg confrontations? Character oriented? And if character oriented which characters?

Ok, I watched all the episodes when they were released. I've said in other posts that, while I don't hate VOY, I found it to be quite unremarkable, mediocre. I do have the lingering impression that there were episodes that I thought were good, but I cannot remember them. So, I thought that if I could get some suggestions from the true fans, then I could select some episodes to watch. Perhaps after these years, my perception of the show would change. I really don't care what the premise of the particular episodes would be, just if you felt they were well done. So, I thought I could get peoples 'top 5' and have a start.

Yep. I was just thinking that everyone has their preferences. I tend to favor all the Borg episodes, time travel, certain ones that have a scientific element.
I'll give you a quick list of some of mine. I'll skip ones that continued and if you remember the premise of how they end up in the Delta Quadrant, I'll skip the first one.
Here's what I recommend to see if you can get into it:
1. Parallax (second in the season)
2. Time and Again (third in the season)
3. Non Sequitur (season two)
4. Macrocosm (season three)
5. Before and After (season three)
Those are some of my favorites in the first three years. I think I avoided ones that would spoil you on interesting developments that you might not want to be spoiled on. Personally, I really loved it when Seven joined, but if you want to see if you can get into it, I'm figuring start with some early ones. How's that?

I can give you different recommendations if you tend to favor episodes that are character related. They had some really good ones, but they just aren't my preference. Let me know if you would rather see them.

I do like more to the humor side. Example: DS9 - The Magnificent Ferengi
But more of what was well done.

Looking back through the episodes, they didn't have many that were totally character focused. I guess that's why I love the series. As I go through TNG on netflix, there are so many that I'm skipping because of that. Once was enjoyable. Twice not so much.

I loved Workforce and Scorpion. Also Year of Hell parts 1&2. Equinox 1&2 as well. I guess I'm not that much help because there are so many great episodes that picking five is almost impossible. Shows what a Voyager junkie I am.
When you limit yourself, those two parters are nice because they are basically small budget movies. And I will say Voyager generally did them well; I'd say the same for TNG and DS9.
Barge of the Dead has always stuck with me as a memorable episode Some nice lite Halloween fare.
