"Polaris"

You know, I've been looking at that sig of yours - about software engineers trying to outwit "idiots" - and it strikes me that the real essential problem is that so many of the folks tasked with successfully anticipating human behavior and designing machines for interaction with human beings have trouble successfully asking someone out on a date.

There may be a fundamental mismatch of aptitudes here.

Well, being recreated in some ultimate idiot's image, we now have machines to ask girls out on dates. They're called vibrators. And scientists have developed a fully functional synthetic vagina called the 'Lily', but that was back in the seventies. They won't let us have it because thay are still rigerously testing it. It's got to meet all kinds of standards of approval. For now you have to be happy with boob bars and the occasional long legged Lois the sixteenth chairs and bed posts.

Well you'll have to talk to the vibrator first to arrange a date. If it thinks you're a good match then it will schedual a date. It will inform her of your stats and your bank account figures, etc. It'll only stutter at first and then it will gain alot of confidence as it judges your elegibility and intelligance and personality and true motives and intentions and may resort to lying to trick you into finding out what your weaknesses are. Knowing how to speak money is essential.

Dennis and crew,

I've been away from the BBS for a while, life and all, but happened across this thread and just wanted to say that the progress looks outstanding. I love the updated Forbidden Planet feel, and am looking forward to seeing the finished product when it is ready.

Heheh. I'm the lucky one at the moment. I have seen more of Polaris cut together than even Dennis has. Oh...hi, Dennis. Didn't see you there. <GRIN>

:shrug::rolleyes: Yea, well that's all well and good......
I hear Polaris, this and Polaris that.....

But what about the progress of the last ACT IV for TTI for EXETER hum ????????

That's what I'm talking about :drool::drool:

Considering the waste of time Duke Nukem Forever turned out to be after more than a decade of waiting I'm not even sure I want to see the third act anymore. ;)

I just watched the first 8 minutes of Polaris all cut together. Don't you wish you were me?

Dr. Valerie Young reacts with bemusement to Captain Paul Fredericks's skepticism.
