Are the Mechs completely mechanical, or are they are bio-mechanical hybrid? Some kind of alien cyborg?
 
I think I'm going to knock off here for tonight and catch the rest of this tomorrow evening. A decent enough start, and it seems to have a fair amount of promise.

I wonder if there was a point to characters in the show having a discussion as to why alien invaders who are insectoid with multiple legs use bi-pedal mechs. Perhaps the insects are bred as an military force by a more humanoid like alien race. Sort of like how the Founders bred the Jem H'dar.

So the more humanoid-like Aliens think in a way similar to us so that's why their robot-like mechs are two arms, two legs.

Wonder if TNT will put eps up on their website. Would surely like to try this out, because I like the premise. It's available on iTunes already, but I'd rather get it in a way I can watch on my Roku, so I think I'll hold out for Amazon.
 
i thought this was pretty good. a bit slow in places, needed more aliens, but the show has me interested so i'll tune in week to week.
 
Note to Hyundai and TNT, those were not "limited" commercial interruptions. If those were limited, I might have to skip watching it live.

I voted, "It was ok". So far it's been kind of generic. So many potential story lines and they decide on stereotypical military vs. civilian battle and redneck hicks.

I'll give it a couple more episodes. Definitely has potential.
 
I have to wait another 45 minutes since I'm in Az, but I'm really looking forward to it. Especially since you guys all seem to have liked it.
 
I stuck through all two hours, but I found it extremely generic and uninteresting. I don't know if I'll bother continuing to watch from here. It's The Walking Dead with mindless aliens replacing mindless zombies.

I wondered if the skitters were an enslaved race, like the Jem H'dar, owing to this same discussion.

And are the harnessed kids going to be transformed into something like the skitters? It'd be weird if the discussion around the dying skitter actually hd an ex-human kid in there. And add to Tom's concern for his son.

Very cliche. Less interesting characters compared to V (at least Morena Baccarin and the Vs were more entertaining). However, the story focus is improved compared to V. I assume the issue with the kids being taken will be an overall season arc and I'm curious about the "bi-pedal mechs" compared with 6-legged aliens.

I'll watch the next few but expectations are low.
