Bizarre photo of couple making out during Vancouver Riots

This picture makes me feel so sexy.
Damn it, NHL 2012 can't come soon enough!!!11

She has a nice ass.

There. I said it, and I'm standing by it (or at least I wish I were. Her ass, not this sentence, although I stand by this sentence, too. This sentence, and her ass.)

Sorry, I'm too distracted by your avatar to read your post.

Now, that's pretty indecent if you ask me. But i gotta give it to them, they got balls.

Now that I've gotten over the responsible adult part: Damn, what a view!

Could have just been a slightly different moment. If you look under her head on the ground shot, there appears to be the start of the same white line that is visible from the aerial shot. The rest of it is obscured by the angle it is taken from.

Am I the only one disturbed by the fact that he took the photo because he thought the woman was injured, and then did nothing to help? He didn't realize that they were kissing until someone else told him awhile later.

She was already getting help, mate. The technical term is expired air resuscitation (EAR). Aka. mouth to mouth resuscitation or even kiss of life. I'm quite fond of the last term.

I suspect the photographer thought she was hurt, and the guy was helping her.

Yeah but it still seems weird to me that you wouldn't go and make sure that authorities had been called or something. It's not like there were paramedics there with her. I'd at least make sure if I was taking a picture!

^ It also kind of looks like there may be a line of riot police between the photographer and the couple, looking at the picture again. Press or not, that's not something you generally want to try crossing.

I seem to recall watching a security video where maybe ten people walked past a man who was having a heart attack without helping. Some even took pics with their cellphones. That was in NYC, if I remember correctly.

While you might think he should've helped. You cannot forget that if you dont know what you are doing, you might make it worse.

I was once present at a streetrace that went bad and a lot of people got hurt, quite badly i'm afraid. One of the bystanders attempted CPR and ended up breaking the mans cracked ribs in a way that it pierced his left lung. He barely survived. Me and a few friends managed to keep him and two other seriously injured drivers alive long enough for the paramedics to arrive. That's one thing i never want to live through again. At the time i had unofficial emergency medicine training. A friend of mine who is a paramedic/field medic taught me.

While it is true that you should help if you can, but the keyword here is "can". As I said, you mess up, you might kill him/her.

^ Wow, thanks for posting that ancientone51. I was thinking it was faked, because of how cleanly composed the whole thing was (at a chaotic event as a riot, no less). I guess as he was caring for her, they had a romantic moment at just the right time for the photographer to notice. :)
