Star Wars Novel Question?

I wish there was something a lot closer than 6 years after ROTJ. I'd like to seesomethin set 6 monthsto a year after ROTJ.

Truce at Bakura starts the day after RoTJ. Or something like that.

And DON'T read those Jedi Prince books. They are garbage and full of continuity errors. I don't know why they keep referring to them as part of the canon, they are awful!

Thanks I just preorder it for my Nook comes out 06/28

The X-wing comic series is the X-wing series that takes place directly after ROTJ-the bulk of the novels themselves are set around 3-4 years later, for the most part (The Wraith Squadron novels, for instance, tie into the Courtship Of Princess Leia novel).

The comic series is worth checking out-it starts off slow but later introduces many characters and situations which have an impact in the novels. This is especially true of the last year of issues which introduce the Baron Soontir Fel character.

Speaking of the comics, you might also want to check them out as well. The most important to the overall Expanded Universe continuity are the Tales of the Jedi and Dark Empire sagas.

all current star wars books are now ready for pre order on the nook. and I do mean everything there is allso a new timothy zahn novel coming out soon.

Keep in mind that a current comic series, Invasion!, takes place during the New Jedi Order era. It would probably be worth the read as well.

Was it the Jedi Prince series that had a book where an entire subplot was about how Han had bought a new house? Because I remember reading that once, and thinking it was hilarious (unintentionally, of course).

Sweet! It's been driving me crazy that most of the SW books weren't available for Nook, I'm glad that's finally changing.

You know, I'm pretty sure it was.

Yes. It was. And the Emperor had a secret son named Ken or some BS like that. These books helped keep me warm one night on a camping trip. And by that, I mean I threw them in the fire.

Ugh. Must go vomit now.

That website listing is the best. It is also interesting to read them in the order they were released. For instance - you can read the Heir to the Empire trilogy by Timothy Zahn, then the Truce at Bakura, then the Kevin J. Anderson Trilogy, etc.
Seeing as the authors build on the revealed "canon" set out by the EU - it is good to keep track of things by the order the books were released.

Thanks, I try. :)

(Even though above story is true. I actually made a point of bringing them on a camping trip with me so I could burn them.)

Burning books is wrong. If you don't like a book, you should sell it to a used-book store or donate it to a library or Goodwill. Just because you didn't like it, that doesn't mean someone else won't.

Agreed. Regardless of the questionable quality of Jedi Prince, they were my EU gateway books until I was old enough for the adult novels. Burning them was a frankly selfish act.

People burn newspapers all the time, yet the avergae newspaper article is better then a Jedi Prince book.
