My grandmother was a WASP. She passed away about 12 years ago, but I still miss her. She is one of my heroes. She was also a redhead

I think I cried a little. Thank you so much for making this so beautifully as only you can do It's so cool you used them as a reference.

EDIT: Sorry, Possum! I missed your post. Yeah, the above is why. I'm sure I've blathered about it before at some point! I think it's mostly fresh in my mind because we just went to DC last year for a big shindig related to 'em.

I had a hideous dream last night. Kate Mulgrew had come to my little town, I saw her getting out of a car with an entourage at the top of Main st. I hastened after her but was ALARMED to see how she looked. Her hair on the side of her face was in.. mutton chops. Yes, mutton chops whiskers is how it was growing. Google mutton chops facial hair if you are in doubt as how how hideous this was. So.. I recoiled and followed after her at a discreet distance. She ended up sitting at an outdoor table at a cafe and I stood off to the side and listened as she complained loudly at how tedious conventions were to do. She was doing one tomorrow that I was going to. I stepped forward and suggested she did not have to do so many and she told me she was doing NINE in one summer which made me feel sorry for her. I then said some gushy thing about seeing her tomorrow and left. Woke up thinking.. OMG IS IT TOMORROW I THOUGHT I HAD UNTIL AUGUST TO PAY FOR IT!!!

ugh.

Anyway Janeway is not amused by my bad dream of mutton chops.

Sooo... like... is it wrong that I think Kate with mutton chops sounds sort of awesome?

The narrative is derived from the ending to Verne's 'Around the World in Eighty Days' it seemed appropriate to Janeway and Seven. I don't have a blog, I just post things here and there as the mood hits me. I'm happy they are good enough to give some enjoyment.

Thanks for all the kind words about the drawing. I'm not totally happy with it but I'm glad to see that you liked it.

Froot - Since I started doing some research for the drawing (uniforms, WW2 pics...) I found the WASP and their incredible story and I thought that Janeway should be one of them as a little tribute to those women. I didn't know the that a member of your family was one of them, so it makes me even happier to know that you liked my rendition.

Yah I am a woman! I used to think it quite funny that people assumed I was male when Soval was my av, because I think the name teacake is fairly female-esque. I'm assuming it was Soval that did it because it has rarely happened since I changed avs.
