Who were your favorite sitcom neighbors?

Amasov

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
My Top 3.

1.) Howard Borden - The Bob Newhart Show

Favorite moment.

Bob is making a sandwich. Howard enters.

Howard: Hi, Bob! What are you doing?
Bob (standing there with a sandwich in hand) Uh, bowling.
Howard: No, you're not!
Bob: No, I'm making a sandwich, Howard.
Howard: That sure looks good, I, uhh, I would go over to my apartment and make one, but I'm all out of mayonnaise, and bread... and meat.
Bob: What do you have in your refrigerator, Howard?
Howard: Frost.
Bob: Want half of my sandwich?
Howard: Oh, thanks, Bob, it saves me from eating frost.

Bob cuts the sandwich in half.

Howard: Uh. Uh. Your half is bigger than my half.

They trade.

Howard: No, I was wrong.

They trade again.

Howard: There's a thumbprint in this half.
Bob: EAT AROUND IT!

2.) Cosmo Kramer - Seinfeld
3.) Charley Dietz - Empty Nest

Simpsons/Flanders - The Simpsons
Those are my favourite sitcom neighbour couple right there.

Taylors/Wilson - Home Improvement

1. Tie between Ralph Furley and the Ropers - Three's Company
2. George and Martha Wilson - Dennis the Menace
3. Sheneneh Jenkins - Martin

Jerry and Margo Leadbetter from The Good Life. Waaaay out on their own for me.

Fred and Ethel Mertz were great, too.

Larry from three's Company needed to get it on with Rhoda form the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Jerry and Margo were magnificent.

Count me in as another vote for Wilson W. Wilson, Jr.

I would put Flanders down as a solid number 2, however.

1 - Mrs. Kravitz from Bewitched. At the end of the series her husband probably had her committed to a mental health facility.

2 - The Ropers. I still have nightmares picturing Norman Fell's psychotic grin.

3 - Arnold Ziffel from Green Acres. Imaging living in that community and your smartest neighbor is a pig.

Gerry and Margo Leadbetter. Two of my favoruite tv characters. In fact, I love them so much, I class Tom and Barbara Good as the neighbours!

Flanders is an obvious choice, but to buck the trend, I'm going to go with Marcy/Steve/Jefferson from Married With Children. :techman:

Jefferson D'Arcy.

Al Bundy's "Batman" needed a "Robin", and Jefferson was better at it than Steve Rhodes.

1. Howard Borden - Lovable goof. Everything about The Bob Newhart Show is awesome to me.

2. Fonzie - Why? Because he's fucking Fonzie that's why.

3. Wilson - Everyone needs a wise neighbor.

Honorable Mention - Gladys Kravitz (Bewitched) - I grew up with my very own version of Gladys Kravitz. She lived two houses down and was the neighborhood gossip/snoop. She was friends with my mom, and would rat us out whenever us neighborhood kids did stuff we shouldn't have done.
One time when my mom was out of town for the weekend she came in to our backyard at least 5 times (that we knew) over the weekend under the guise of 'needing to water the plants' despite the fact that my brothers and I we doing all the yard work ourselves. We were all in High School and were very well behaved that weekend - I think we let her down...

Mathews/Feeny - Boy Meets World

Hill/Souphanousinphone - King of the Hill

Rocko/The Bigheads - Rocko's Modern Life
