Eurovision Song Contest 2011 (Düsseldorf, Germany)

I lol'd at the British boy band. Couldn't take them seriously.

:klingon:

Nah, it's fine. We do have a reputation for boybands though, and it's far better than anything we've sent for a while, so I think it's about the best we could do in Eurovision. At least we won't come last again, I hope.

I like a rock song, me, so was surprised that Turkey didn't go through. Only someone with a heart of stone wouldn't vote for Iceland.

Turkey pretty much did the same thing as last year, only it wasn't quite as good. It'll do them good to sit on the sidelines for once. They're getting too used to their final pass and their top 10 placing. As for that matter are Greece, only they got through this time.
Iceland.. hmmm... The song itself is average. I mean, the way they're doing it is nice, so hopefully they'll give a good performance tomorrow to show it deserves its place in the final on quality.

What happened at the end of Sweden's song, there was a censor box when he turned around. Was he wearing arseless chaps or something?

Edit: Ignore that. Just looked at it on Youtube, its just someone holding up a sign that makes it look like a censor box.

I think Jedwood are getting a lot of help from the backing singers.
Thank god.
I wonder what intro video they have made for Greece.

Italy was dire. Really dire.

Sweden were brilliant, but I always knew they would be. ;)

Next time can the UK entry actually sing a little louder  and WHAT THE HELL are the people from Moldova wearing on their fucking heads :wtf:

Moldova were good for the hats alone. Most :wtf: performance ever.

Germany's entry is good because Lena is hot.

Bof, Germany was boring, the UK was ridiculous (wow, you have still boybands ?? ) and I already forgot about the rest ;)

I will say nothing about the corsican language...I respect corsincan people...and corsican mothers...and corsican sisters...and corsican secrets... :shifty:

Was it me or was the UK song oddly lacking in melody?

Loved the trumpet playing gnomes, great reference to pointed hats in history and myth. Quite the discussion started about gold bronze age wizards caps!

The backing dancers to Lena looked like the sperm in "everything you ever wanted to know..."

Is it bedtime yet?
