I have been keeping track of this thread, and I haven't seen this song mentioned... Yet.

This band and album was created as a tribute to Chris Cornell's friend Andrew Wood.

This one by Prince was partly written as a tribute to Jonathan Melvoin who died of a drug overdose.

Rebecca fucking Black? You have got to be kidding me. *shudders*

That makes me want to drink myself into oblivion....

On a different note, several Green Day songs deal with, ahem, substance abuse, one way or another. American Idiot is full of drug references.

My favorite drug song was written by Hoyt Axton and performed by Steppenwolf . . . "The Pusher".

I can't remember if it was about drugs: Hairy Hypochondriac by a later version of the James Gang.

Did anyone mention Mother's Little Helper by the Rolling Stones?

I was about to, but you beat me to it. Another classic.

And who could forget Kenny Rogers before he went country? Dig the Sixties chroma-key effects!
