Oh fuck. Now we have time travel!

Well, it's not the first time. Peter Weller did it this season, and I can't help but wonder if the First People had the ability... Somehow, whoever created the machine and the made the drawing of Olivia knew what the future held.

Reminds me a little of Dollhouse. But it's great though and I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out next episode.

Being in the future would explain the death spoiler rumor going around.

I'm amazed they were able to keep this a secret.

Yeah, I had almost forgotten that someone was supposed to kick the bucket next week. You might be right in that this is how they're getting around it.

Unless, of course, someone really DOES die.

I love how even when we get spoiler rumors we can't figure out what the hell Fringe will be doing.

Another solid--not great--episode--Fringe really needs to consider going all myth next season because these last two episodes have just reinforeced that the series is at its most interesting and involving when they focus on this series-specific material.

With a title like "The Last Sam Weiss" I expected more of him and certainly more interesting insight into him. The title made it sound like he was a clone or some being able to live for a long time. Turns out he was just part of a family obsessed with the First People and their Machine unless it is misdirection from the writers.

The season continues to remind me of the Xindi arc--first with a Weapon/Machine that is like its own character, weird anomalies wreaking havoc, a mysterious third party manipulating two parties and now with the end involving time travel. I suspect this will be Fringe's "Twilight" and "Five Years Gone" where Peter gets a "What if..." glimpse of the worst case scenario that they must avoid from happening. At first I thought Peter had ended up on the alternate universe's Liberty Island and interacting with the machine had wreaked havoc there, then it seemed like Archer in "Zero Hour" where he wakes up in the past given the war zone thought Peter might have wound up in World War II. Now he is in the future. Interesting.

The most interesting scenes involved Olivia/Sam with the interesting exposition. Still don't know any more about First People but with the weapon leading to time travel and the Observers knowing future events and possessing time travel capabilities I suspect they are one in the same. They obviously saw these people and events millenia ago before they existed. I also enjoyed the continuity callback to Olivia's test from two seasons ago with telekinesis.

I thought Peter wondering the halls and trip to NY slowed the hour--curious about the coin given Walter's reaction. I enjoyed the way everyone including Peter were brought together and converged at Liberty Island with the weapon. I do appreciate the writers' demonstrations they have Walter perform to illustrate what is going on i.e. the magnets and filings to make clear about what is going on with the weapons. Smart idea to move the weapon to the same spot. The kite scene was fun and whimsy. The teaser was cool and the visual of lightning with no storms in sight was the kind of fun sci-fi visual. The moment Olivia approaches the weapon provided a tense exciting moment wondering if she would be successful then what and seeing alternate Brandon's "uh oh? moment. Peter's integration into the weapon was another such moment. Still curious about Walternate's ultimate goal and how the weapon would ultimate achieve it.

Above average.

I voted excellent for this one. I definitely did not see the ending coming. I'm really curious to see if this is actually a two way trip.

So we've jumped ahead in time and Baltar is president now? Or in this case, maybe Dawson Leery? :)

Great episode although it's kind of flat in the other introduced things - such as the man who would kill Olivia with the strange shirt and the confidence that she had at the end of that animated episode. However, the whole romance thing at the end was great. In the end when Peter went up to the machine - everyone seemed ready for the next thing. It seemed all conflicts had been squared away just for that corner to be turned.

The remark of "Ostrich" was kind of funny.

Strong episode, especially the last 1/4 of the episode. If we could throw away all the Love Triangle moments throughout the seasons w/ Olivia(s) and Peter and replace them with main storyline type stuff set in either universe this show could be epic.

How John Noble doesn't have an Emmy at this point is beyond me, the man's clearly one of the most talented actors working on TV today.

8/10 => Above Average.
