License plate and bumper sticker wins and fails

Unfortunately I can't prove either of these with pictures (tried but I suck at taking pictures with my phone), but I think we've all been driving down the road and seen some REALLY funny or awesome license plate or some attempt to convey a message that was in fact an epic fail.

I saw these on a recent road trip.

WIN: Will the Arkansan who owns the "LOCUTUS" license plate please stand up?

FAIL: On the back of the same vehicle--the ubiquitous COEXIST bumper sticker, and then this sticker. Bit of a mixed message here...looks like a Coexist Fail when it comes to the Hindu religion... ;)

What about you guys? Any funny ones you've seen in your travels?

Mwaaaaaaahahahaha. I would tell my story of defeating a Hummer with my tiny little Saturn, several years ago--except I'd derail my own thread. I LOVE that one. :D

Saw this one at work several years ago:

And this one I saw at work just a few weeks ago:

^Yes. Yes it does. :D
Actually, it's also very fitting that the county code for Madison County (where Huntsville is), which starts all standard license plates in this county, is "47"!

I am a huge VeggieTales fan (don't laugh), and I thought about getting a plate for my car just like the one on the van in Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie:

IN A PKL

:D

I have a story like that too, just from this year.. Love my Saturn.

I still remember from my childhood, seeing a bumper sticker on a very slick looking car (think it was a vette) that read: "If you can beat me, you can eat me"...

I had to ask my big brother what that meant..... Imagine my surprise...

Oh, that's even better!

I actually had to have one of my Starfleet characters (though he's not a main character) be from Huntsville just for fun. He has the first name of a former AU football player, very likely went through SFROTC at Auburn (majoring in aerospace engineering), and refers to Starfleet sometimes as "the space program," as a joke. ;)

And MLB--that's a cute idea!

Now, I wish I could get 528491 as my license plate, to see who would recognize it...but I have the feeling the state wouldn't allow that. (I bet it already belongs to a motorcycle or something.)

I have this bumper sticker [the middle line can be seen from a distance, the first and last only when you are MUCH closer]:
OFFICER, WILL THIS STICKER SAYING
S U P P O R T __ L A W__ E N F O R C E M E N T
STOP YOU FROM GIVING ME A TICKET?
As a former police officer, it is even funnier... because the answer from me would have been NO.

I mentally group drivers of cars with bumper stickers alongside people wearing "cause" ribbons/lapel-pins/bracelets. The only exception I make is for those wearing poppies around Remembrance Days. The rest of these people drop several notches down my list of people I want to talk to, or in the case of bumper stickers, people I want to let through a junction. :p

Personalised number plates are a bit better, because you have to have a license place, so you may as well do something funny with it. However, it better be a genuinely good joke, or you're going to get filed alongside the bumper sticker community...

I like it. :bolian:

My favorite bumper sticker seen recently, in Austin:
"I KNOW what Jesus would do.
Jesus would use his damn turn signal!"

The strangest one I ever saw, again in Austin, was a Che Guevara bumper sticker--with just his face and the slogan "Che Lives" on a red, Mercedes convertible. Seemed a tad ironic.

Everytime I see those stupid little stickers meant to represent family members I think of those as failures. Yes, you can reproduce. So?

When I lived in Niagara Falls there was often a red Mini Cooper with a license plate that I first thought was fake because it was 8 characters.

HALFACAR

Always thought it was brilliant, especially when parked near a Suburban or an Expedition or something big like that.
