The picture quality for VOY's latter seasons has really held up over the years. Same with DS9's latter seasons.

You know how sometimes you can just tell what era a television episode is from by the relative grain and such? Man, much of Voyager could have been filmed yesterday.

^That's what threw me off when I first started watching them in earnest. I still find it hard to believe that VOY ended in 2001.

You know how sometimes you can just tell what era a television episode is from by the relative grain and such? Man, much of Voyager could have been filmed yesterday.

Yeah, even set design holds up well too.
Looking back on TNG, it just funny how they felt beige carpeting & wood paneling meant futuristic.

She's not my type, but I don't think she's that bad looking. Jeri Ryan was maybe the hottest woman on the show, but I think Roxann Dawson was unsung hotness. At least in Faces we could see her face more (moreso than when she has the Klingon/B'Elanna make-up on). Jennifer Lien never did anything for me.

I always make it a point to remind myself that whatever we think fits the bill this year could be laughed-at ten years down the road, but as more and more time goes by, certain things continue to hold up despite all the advances in consumer technology. Voyager's decor, for the most part, is one of those things.

I'd agree that poor Dawson gets overlooked. I really think she's quite lovely, even with the ridges.

Lien, IMO, was certainly pretty, but they played up her "cute" factor.

I'd agree that poor Dawson gets overlooked. I really think she's quite lovely, even with the ridges.

I think another reason why Dawson gets overlooked is off screen personality. Kate & Jeri have more dominate personalities than Dawson. I think even when interviewing the cast, there's more footage of those two than Dawson due to their more vibrant personalities.

Dawson like Tim Russ were the only two actors that were on point with their characters motivations since day one. They both acting as if they have always been Be'Lanna & Tuvok.

True. Her and Tim were probably the most prepared in the beginning. And Tim was already a Trekkie, or Trekker(what is it btw), when he was cast as Tuvok. And Roxann did a lot of research on how Klingons acted and were portrayed.

Hmm . . . I wonder how TNG would have been if Tim had been cast as Geordi and not LeVar Burton. I wonder what Tuvok would have been like if it weren't Tim . . .
